My first Bounce experience was as comical as it was spectacular. I was hosting one of my Hygge friendship-making events in NYC and midway-through, with 20 people sitting around me, I got a notification from Bounce saying I could meet someone "tonight." A friend asked what that was all about, so I handed them my phone and walked away to get food. When I came back, the friend said, "I think I accidentally got you a date tonight." Sure enough, in the 2 minutes my friend spent on Bounce, they'd already not just matched me with someone, but also set up the time and place of my date. Holy shit. So yeah, I reached out to my new match and invited her to come join us at the event I was hosting, because she mentioned being attracted to comedians and musicians, and we had both of those present at the event. When you match on Bounce, you're expected to meet up ~2 hours later. True to form, 2 hours later, my match showed up and ended up hanging out with everyone for the next 3 hours, and even got 2 other people's numbers while she was there! More recently, during the Pandemic, I visited my parents in my hometown for a month and was feeling very lonely and isolated. I got a Bounce notification for their virtual dates, and opted to try to set one up. One of my first recommendations was a woman looking for a virtual yoga companion, and we matched and set up our yoga date on the spot! Bounce is eerily efficient and profoundly respects our modern, attentionally-divided lives. I love that it cuts so much of the bullshit out of modern dating. Definitely worth a try!
