This looks awesome.
Interestingly, Google just announced that they will be demoting page rankings for sites that use interstitial popups: https://webmasters.googleblog.co....
How do you guys think this will affect Journeys?
@thingsinmotion Great question Tim! We always strive to adhere our solutions to SEO best practices as they continue to evolve, including the recent update from Google (which will take effect on January 10, 2017).
According to their blog, the only case where Branch Journeys might be affected is the technique described as inline above-the-fold interstitials.
Journeys is not limited only to these forms of interstitials, but provides a variety of digital creatives including simple banners and other formats and page placements coming soon.
In addition, Journeys enables mobile marketers to target specific audience segments based on different user behavior. By combining the audience segmenting capability with the Journey creative, marketers have the flexibility to personalize user flows to ensure all mobile web users have a smooth experience.
Branch is committed to working closely with our clients to optimize their mobile web to app experiences with Journeys and to address any specific concerns related to this Google update to ensure a smooth transition.
To find more information on Journeys, I encourage you to read our blog post and look forward to your product feedback!

@jmj Thanks Jeff - so excited to see what you guys build with Branch at Tinder :) @mikemolinet is already a power user so he's volunteered to beta test :)
@mada299@jmj@mikemolinet Don't forget to try it out .. I think we already got you setup with the Web SDK. Nothing is stopping you (well... except the credit card page) ;)
Hey guys, this is Mada, one of the founders of Branch. We have seen again and again that mobile web is the absolute top of funnel for most businesses, where users come to evaluate your brand or passively consume content. Itβs the single largest opportunity to convert users into loyal, high converting app users.
We built the the Journeys platform to allow you to design custom audiences, create high converting banners and promos to the right users with the right messaging, then deep link them to the product after install.
Our early beta tests indicate that this channel drives users that are 7x more likely to convert in the first week - and we can't wait to hear your feedback and what you think!
using Branch here @Ticketmaster to deeplink users into our hot artist's events, our top artists call this feature "sexy" as it links users to their content seamlessly from all platforms and they love it!
This sounds great and the logical extension of Branch Metrics set of products.
If we could take the mobile web to be the store front and the 'more info + check out' to be on the app ~ and this is a step closer!
Loving this growing synergy between mobile web and apps!
We've been using Branch.io for a while now and they have been an invaluable partner and product & marketing tool for growth. This new Web-to-App upsell interstitial is an excellent addition to the product suite, particularly for those startups (most) that are engineering resource constrained and want to empower more non-technical folks to test, improve and grow their marketing channels. Great work!
I use Branch w/ several clients of mine, and I'm repeatedly impressed with the rate at which they are pushing out new features that really solve for real issues in mobile marketing. I'm already using Smart Banners, and Journeys is the natural next step. A must if you have significant mobile web traffic!
