All very nice... Now go to Google Analytics and check how many people view your website on a 13" screen. Congratulations. You're losing 100% of them: https://v.usetapes.com/KgLwyCHzyu
Razvan Gavrilas
@pawelkadysz ups. working on fixing that now. no launch is perfect. there is a saying that if it was you waited too much to launch :) tks man. fixing it.
Razvan Gavrilas
@pawelkadysz this was fixed. please check with a hard refresh. tks

It reminds me of the uberVU - another startup done by some cool romanian dudes. Congrats on the launch!
Razvan Gavrilas
@alincatalin tks for the comment and appreciation. UberVU (let's see if they monitor their own brand mentions and jump in) is on the enterprise side. We are on the SMB/Company side. We offer an affordable product for this market. There are other tools doing brand monitoring. Below is a short explanation about why BM was created and how I think it's a bit better than other alternatives: BrandMentions was designed to deliver much better results. It has more extensive coverage than other available services. By performing global monitoring, it saves lots of time and delivers a quick snapshot of all critical data. This feedback was given to us by most of our early-adopters (over 10k people). From a feature perspective here are some of the innovative things that we added to this full-stack brand monitoring tool: - we monitor your website traffic to deliver instant new links notifications (via a tracking pixel that you add on your site) - we provide a Quick Mention Research Tool that allows you to instantly view the mentions for any keyword that you type in, for the last 30 days; we provide smart filtering and detection for brands that use generic words (for example Orange, Majestic, etc.); - we provide in-depth analytics and filters; - plus all the juicy stuff like alerts, reports, sentiment analysis, historical mention recording and much more. Sure enterprise tool have much more charts and whistles ... but that makes them more complicated for our target audience. hope it makes sense.

Congratulations on the beautiful work! Some doubts: real-time alert only works in the agency account? Besides, what does campaign mean (would it be the same as a word)?
Razvan Gavrilas
@luffrj a campaign is a brand. a brand is defined by up to 5 keywords. for example: Campaign cognitiveSEO Keywords tracked: cognitiveseo cognitive seo seo cognitive seocognitive There is also a Quick Research Tool that allows you to just search (like in Google let's say) for individual keywords. That is real-time. We send daily alerts on the Growth Business Account. You can also specify the hour when to receive the alert. Also we have a tracking pixel that you add on your site and we monitor your traffic for new links. Those are sent in real-time when we detect them in the traffic.

An amazing tool that I have been using for almost a year and happy that there's an upgrade to the tool. I have been a fulltime user of Google Alert tool and BrandMentions has replaced it.
Razvan Gavrilas
@amitbhawani glad you found it usefull. the new stuff is even more amazing.
Ovi Negrean
Congrats @razvan_gavrilas & team for an amazing launch sequence!
Razvan Gavrilas
@ovinegrean appreciate it Ovi. thank you

This product does a good job at what it does but with the launch of the new version it's priced itself out as an option in my opinion. It's prior version did essentially the same without the bells and whistles. The addition of the bells and whistles doesn't justify the current price point.

Pros:

Provides consistent and complete search results

Cons:

Too Expensive

Razvan Gavrilas
to be able to provide those complete search results we have a lot of stuff behind the scenes. lots of crawlers and datasources. all of them cost lots. being able deliver as much as we do costs. even though those costs are invisible to you as a user. we do have a special offer for early adopters in the next 48hrs only (that is 40% OFF). let me know if you are interested.
Holy Moley
Totally agree with this. Yes, it does provide fairly good results (it often actually does NOT... so not all the results you get back contain the words you search for). So for what you get.. it's too expensive. If only 1/50 is usable, why would you want to pay the current (new) price? I mean, there are alternatives out there, so... I have to agree with David here that they'll price themselves out of the market.

Personal brands, small businesses and even enterprise level clients can all benefit greatly from using BrandMentions. Real-time monitoring and responding is becoming more and more important with such a fast pace online world we live in today. Having tried and tested relevant competitors to BrandMentions I can honestly say that the quality of data BrandMentions provide is better.

BrandMentions is a full-stack marketing tool that can be best used to do:

Reputation Management - shape and stay in control of your company’s image.

Brand Monitoring - gain marketing insights about any company around the globe.

Competitor Spying - expose and analyze your competitors’ strategies.

Media Monitoring - monitor the web & social media for mentions of any business.

Business Intelligence - identify market opportunities that will grow your company.

I love the ease of use, alerts and relevant data the most. I know I can trust the tool to not miss any media or social mentions of my brand.

Pros:

Sentiment analysis

Relevant & correct data

Instant mentions and links alerts

Real time web traffic monitoring

Automated reports

Cons:

Looking forward to a mobile app for the tool

Adel de Meyer
Congratulations on the launch of the product, I requested early access and been testing the tool for about a month now. I can honestly say good job on finding all the correct and relevant data vs some of your competitors. I test and play with a LOT of tools and this one is staying in my toolbox :)
Razvan Gavrilas
@adeldmeyer tks for the appreciation Adel. we did a lot of beta testing on it. and now we are ready for everyone to come use it to monitor their brands!
Adel de Meyer
@razvan_gavrilas looking forward to the feedback from everyone about Brandmentions. Goodluck with the launch. Product to be proud of!
Rizki Aditya

Razvan Gavrilas
@rizkiaditya24 please check all the rellies above to Rahul. It’s detailed in the pieces there. Tks. Give it a try and we could do a live demo to show you more. ;)

Congrats on the launch Razvan! I've used brand mentions for well over a year now (Alpha). It's a great product to stay on top of the chatter and react quickly when people are talking about your company. Really well done. I'll share my thoughts as I get more into it.
Razvan Gavrilas
@em_ebert tks for the thoughts Eric. looking forward for more feedback from you and to have you as a customer now.
Iulian Nechifor

Razvan Gavrilas

@razvan_gavrillas is making a great tool again. Congrats mate! Highly recommended to use Brandmentions. I already signed up started to using.
Razvan Gavrilas
@razvan_gavrillas @metehan777 super ;) tks for the appreciation Metehan. we are fine-tuning stuff and adding even more features in the following months.
Rahul Ramchand
Hi @razvan_gavrilas! We use Brand24 and would love to know why we should shift to Brandmentions! Cheers!
Razvan Gavrilas
@rahulr047 I’ll try to underline some of the differences below: - We provide near real-time, daily or weekly e-mail alerts for mentions that appear on the web and on social. We have an mention engine that we carefully fine tune to eliminate most of the junk mentions. This is something that differentiates us greatly vs other tools. We report the mention that matter so we don’t flood you. - We monitor your website traffic (via a tracking pixel that you add on your site) and deliver instant new link notifications. This is really cool in my opinion. - We provide a Quick Mention Research Tool that allows you to instantly view the mentions for any keyword that you type in, for the last 30 days. Another cool feature that we offer in our package that you won’t find in any other tool. - We provide smart filtering and detection for brands that use common words (Orange, Majestic, etc).this may exist in other tools. - We provide in-depth filters and analytics. Lots of filters.
Razvan Gavrilas
@rahulr047 Probably the most in any other tool. - Plus all the juicy stuff like: reports, sentiment analysis and historical mention recording and more. These may be common. You ahould try it and see for yourself. Let me know your feedback.
Rahul Ramchand
@razvan_gavrilas Looks awesome. Probably better. No Slack integration?
Razvan Gavrilas
@rahulr047 slack and zapier are coming soon. I would not say it is more expensive. Check the pricing on both. Seems to me BM is more affordable.
Razvan Gavrilas
@rahulr047 plus we have have a private launch deal. Contact me on support@Brandmentions.com now and I’ll share it with you ;)
Razvan Gavrilas
Hello Hunters! Founder of BrandMentions here. First of all I would like to thank Kevin @kwdinc for Hunting us. We are incredibly excited to launch v2.0 of BrandMentions. Our first version was simply a Free MVP that we launched two years ago. During this time we gathered feedback and built the product that is being launched today. Over 10k early-adopters have tested our platform until now. Today we launch the commercial version of BrandMentions. A much improved and better brand monitoring tool, with the biggest dataset of mentions behind it. That was also the reason why this tool was born. It all started with a personal frustration: I was unable to monitor my brands and the competitors accurately. None of the tools available on the market, be it free (Google Alerts) or commercial (even the high-end enterprise ones- those that you pay $X.XXX of $$$ monthly), were unable to send me accurate daily mentions for the brands that I was monitoring. Below is a summary of this release and why we think BrandMentions is an innovative brand monitoring tool: - We provide near real-time, daily or weekly e-mail alerts for mentions that appear on the web and on social. - We monitor your website traffic (via a tracking pixel that you add on your site) and deliver instant new link notifications. - We provide a Quick Mention Research Tool that allows you to instantly view the mentions for any keyword that you type in, for the last 30 days. - We provide smart filtering and detection for brands that use common words (Orange, Majestic, etc). - We provide in-depth filters and analytics. - Plus all the juicy stuff like: reports, sentiment analysis and historical mention recording and more. We already scanned over 9 billion mentions (9,434,894,231 ment to be more exact - at the moment I was writing this comment) during the 2 year beta/MVP period. I invite you all to get your extended trial (28 days) @ https://brandmentions.com/v2/ (only for our ProductHunt fans) Ping me your thoughts and questions!
Adel de Meyer
@kwdinc @razvan_gavrilas whoah that's a lot of mentions! Can you share some techy info on the backend? Algorithm, machine learning etc you are using for the product? #brandmentions #tech
Robert Katai
@kwdinc @razvan_gavrilas super congrats on launching BrandMention V2 :) and btw, love the simple design you guys used on this landing page (and most of it, loved the teaser campaign).
Razvan Gavrilas
@kwdinc @katairobi it means a lot coming from your Robert. appreciate it! looking forward to have you as a customer.
Dharmesh Shah
@kwdinc @razvan_gavrilas Any plans to launch an API so BrandMentions could be integrated into other tools?
Razvan Gavrilas
@dharmesh looking into the possibilities of doing this. If we’ll do it will probably be some kind of API license for enterprise customers mostly. How does that sound? Let’s chat more via email. Send me a mail on support@brandmentions.com please. Thank you
Eugen Oprea
BrandMentions 2.0 is looking awesome! Congrats!
Razvan Gavrilas
Nitesh Manav
Congratulations. Looking forward to use it. :)
Andrii Liakh
Good job, guys! This product is just perfect for us. We made a rebranding a couple of days ago, so it'd be very useful to see the new brand mentions around the web.
Razvan Gavrilas
@liakh_andrii works great for that. also you can track for linked/unlinked mentions and ask for a link. works great. did that a lot of times (and still do) your response ratio is like 95% because the people that mention you are already familiar with your brand. when you outreach to them say tks and then ask for the link.
Alexandra Tachalova
Congrats on launching BrandMentions 2.0! I've been using your previous version, and I've found that you are doing a great job. Other tools such as Mention, SEMrush and Ahrefs Alerts, Moz Brand Mentions and etc haven't been showing as much useful data as yours does. The only thing missing in the majority of tools is historical data that allows users to see trends for being mentioned over the past few months. That need is the reason I pay $100 to Moz, as they have the only tool that allows me to get this data without switching to enterprise PR tools that support such needs, but which are intended for much larger businesses.
Razvan Gavrilas
@alextachalova thank you for the comment Alexandra. We added historical tracking in the tool for your projects. This goes up to 5 years. For any other term you are searching you can see historical trends for 30 days. So if you track for example your own brand you will have up to 5 years of history. If you just want to check a new keyword you will see what other said about it in the last 30 days.
Jijo Sunny
Just signed up for the trial, and already finding it very useful. Just realised how inefficient Google Alerts is :) Congrats on the launch! 🎉
Razvan Gavrilas
@jijosunny tks. setup your tracking pixel so you can catch new links in real time ;)
Jijo Sunny
@razvan_gavrilas That's a neat idea. BTW do you have any offers for PH users? I'm interested in the second paid plan.
Razvan Gavrilas
@jijosunny we have the extended trial for the PH fans. but send me a mail now to support@brandmentions.com and I'll offer you something super cool for being so determined and wanting to upgrade.
Jim Katzaman

This is the latest in a long line of quality products brought to you by Adel de Meyer.

Pros:

BrandMentions 2.0 is the answer to keep you abreast of the word of mouth of your company amid the noise of the marketplace.

Cons:

Version 3.0 will be even better, but why wait?

Adel de Meyer
Ha! Awesome Jim, can't wait to hear what you think of Brandmentions! As always delightful commentary from your side 😉
Razvan Gavrilas
tks for the review Jim. looking forward to have you as a customer ;)
