AppSumo is the undoubtedly the most valuable asset to me since I left my job to work for the full time on my startup. I know AS for almost 2 years and own more than 3 dozens of lifetime SaaS tools. More than half of them are used by me or my team almost regularly and I can't say how convenient, insightful and economical it has made my life. Now, for startups, digital agencies or internet marketers who discovered lately and hence don't have access to dozens of amazing tools that are never going to come on a lifetime price either on AppSumo or any other deal sites, the #ASBreifcase is the golden key to get access to all of them at a subscription price equivalent to that of any one of such 35+ tools. Though, one big concern that I have is about the longevity of this briefcase model. So, suppose I signed up for this and paying $49/$99 every month to get access to dozens of these tools. But maybe in future, if you decided to 'drop' this subscription model, what options will I have to continue using all those tools where I have already set-up my work or projects? In no possible ways, I will be able to pay their own monthly subscription charges. So, how will AS take care of this? I know about AppSumo and Sumo reputation and I trust fully but thinking about future consequences is also a part of every entrepreneur's journey. How do you think to tackle such situations? PS: BF Bonus Alert- If you sign up or upgrade to Briefcase Yearly (any plan), you will get $200 Amazon credits + $300 of AppSumo credits and if you sign up or upgrade to Briefcase Pro Monthly, you will get $50 Amazon credits + $50 AppSumo credits as per the details written here- https://goo.gl/X5pkMt ( Do check the number of remaining seats for these bonuses)

I am an AppSumo customer for almost 2 years and love it so much because of their great bargaining skills, customer support and ability to provide us great SaaS tools at highly affordable rates.

Pros:

All the included SaaS tools are of premium quality and highly useful and available at highly affordable subscription fee.

Cons:

Nothing as such

What's up you gorgeous Product Hunters!! Thanks for hunting us today @nickhaase. I’m Noah Kagan, Co-Founder of AppSumo + Sumo.com. Over the past 7 years, we’ve curated hundreds of software tools and promoted them at crazy prices to our audience of millions of entrepreneurs. Today we’re launching Briefcase: the all-in-one toolkit for entrepreneurs and startups looking to create, grow, and scale their businesses. With 35+ tools (and growing), Briefcase has the exact tools you need to run an online business: from sales, to design, to SEO, and everything in between. Think of it like "Netflix for Software." I look forward to answering any questions y’all might have and hope you check out Briefcase! The real masterminds who made all this magic happen are @schelzi3 + @brokerchange. Linky: https://appsumo.com/black-friday... P.S. Entrepreneurs are always left out of awesome Black Friday deals so for this week only, if you sign up (or upgrade) you’ll get early access to EVERY tool featured on AppSumo for the rest of 2017 - including all of our Black Friday tools :slightly_smiling_face:

@noahkagan @schelzi3 Awesome idea! Signed up early this morning (2:30am MST) when there were only 94 left of the $200/$300 bonuses. Got confirmation I was charged, but no instructions on how to redeem my gift cards. What to do?
Chris Schelzi
@noahkagan @s_carlson Thanks and congrats on becoming a Briefcase member! Yes, you signed up and will receive the bonuses. All bonuses are going to be redeemed to your account after the Black Friday promotion has ended. Rest assured, you're all taken care of :)

I check AppSummo and ProducHunt on a daily basis - so when I saw the Briefcase, I was stoked! I had previously purchased some of the software there but I was going to get EpicBeat at a regular price - so when I saw it part of the Briefcase - it was a no- brainer. I had to ask for a refund for the previous tools included in Briefcase but I don't see the point in paying double. What I would like to know is 1. How do I know if I was one of the first people to purchase the tool and if I qualified for the gift card. 2. There's a mention of getting early access to all the deals remaining for 2017, but I can't find them anywhere now that I have upgraded. 3. You're going to keep on adding tool - are the tools added only going to be part of Briefcase and not a standalone? I don't want to buy a product, only to find that it was included in my membership later on. The negative of this deal is that some of the products have some nasty limitations. For example, pCloud doesn't come with encryption - you still need to upgrade for $4/month if you want it. Some of the tools require their branding - which is understandable when you purchase lifetime at one price, but this is a subscription model - I would think that they make the exception. But other than that, Briefcase is a great deal and I'm glad I signed up for it.

@schelzi3 the monthly plan just shows 'FREE TRIAL' and I don't see any other option. Will I be eligible for the bonuses if I chose that (and don't cancel after 7 days :) )?

While i love the idea of a super subscription package, i'm surprised there also wasnt a massive one-time fee or a massive "lifetime of services" package as well... thanks anyways for the work guys!

Nice job @noahkagan & team! The help you provide to the start-up community - with Sumo + AppSumo + the Podcast is amazing and greatly appreciated!
Dean Glas
Great concept! Similarly to Netflix, eventually movies/shows get removed when their contracts expire. What happens when a start-up uses Briefcase tools and the same thing happens?
Chris Schelzi
@dean_glas Great question! If a product is in your Briefcase, you'll continue to have access to it and we won't remove it from your Briefcase. This is why it's a good idea to purchase Briefcase sooner rather than later, to ensure you get all of the tools you need to grow your business. We're always adding in new tools as well and once you have them, they're yours :)

I've been an AppSumo user since 2015, the year I launched my startup. Since then, I've purchased numerous deals on the platform.

I owe a BIG thanks to Noah Kagan and the whole team at AppSumo for helping me secure lifetime access to a plethora of wonderful tools that have been instrumental in growing my business and blog.

So when AppSumo announced that they were launching a solution like Briefcase (they called it 'Netflix for software' at the time), I knew I had to subscribe to it because I just couldn't afford to spend $100 each month on individual deals at AppSumo. 🙂

I did just that and it's the smartest decision I've made. I don't mind paying the recurring fee of $49 because of all the nifty tools I get to use. And FYI - Most of these tools individually would cost you at least $25-50/month on their own.

So here's my two cents' worth on Briefcase:

(I've published a long, in-depth review of Briefcase on my blog 99signals. So if you're interested to learn more about Briefcase, click here.)

There are currently 35+ tools in Briefcase. To be frank, I use just 10 of them quite frequently: Brain.fm, Promo Republic, CloudApp, pCloud, Grum, Planable, WebTextTool, Poplink, Rocketium, and FindThatLead.

I'd like to use the rest of the tools more, but I just don't have the time or bandwidth right now. But it's nice to know I can access them anytime I want.

In the end, it all boils down to one key question: Is it worth paying $49 a month for Briefcase?

The short answer is yes.

If you were to subscribe to each of these tools, majority of which follow a subscription-based model, you’d easily be paying over thousand dollars a month.

In the end, it’s all about saving cost and getting the maximum efficiency out of some of the best business tools available in the market.

Even if you were to use just 10 of these tools (like I do) in a given month, you’d still be saving up a considerable amount of money.

If you think you’re at risk of losing some of the unused tools by the end of the month, AppSumo has a solution for that. You just need to activate the tool from the Briefcase dashboard before the month ends.

That way you’ll make sure you always have access to the tool even if Briefcase discontinues the tool in the future.

Each tool in Briefcase has been carefully selected and vetted by the AppSumo team. Rather than spending $25-50/month on one tool, you can pay $49/month through Briefcase and enjoy lifetime access to some of the best and most unique business tools in the market.

Pros:

Access to 35+ awesome business tools for just $49/mo. Perfect solution for entrepreneurs & bloggers who are looking to scale up!

Cons:

None

Congrats, guys! This is awesome! I've been a Briefcase customer for a while now, Sumo Black initially, and I love it.
Chris Schelzi
@eugenoprea So awesome to have you as a Briefcase member! What tools do you use most often?
Eugen Oprea
@schelzi3 Airstory is my favorite so far, but there are a lot that I haven't tried yet.
Eugen Oprea

I realized that I could save more money than buying multiple deals every month.

However, what made me pull the trigger, it was the fact that I had access to some past deals, like Airstory.

Pros:

Awesome price for getting access to multiple tools

Cons:

Nothing yet

this is everything anyone ever needs to gain traction and push their idea out there. props to sumo for doing this! 🙌
Chris Schelzi
@viliconsally What a compliment :) We wanted to create Briefcase as the single point of contact for business owners and their software. You shouldn't have to login to a dozen different dashboards just to handle your daily tasks. Thanks!
Olman J Quesada

With Briefcase you get to pick and choose the tools you need to run your business - some you use daily. This is especially huge when there are products you don't use everyday but are nice to have in your arsenal of tools for when you do need them.

Pros:

Access to a suite of tools to get your business growing bundled into a single low monthly price.

Cons:

Single sign-on from Briefcase to access all apps from dashboard (coming soon though!)

Joe Sinkwitz
Good work guys; keep adding great services to briefcase. I will disagree with you though -- I think this has the potential to be more like Amazon Prime than Netflix, where it is now irresponsible NOT to use if you're keen on saving money.
Chris Schelzi
@cygnusseo Thanks for the compliments! And yeah, totally see the comparison to Amazon Prime. Both amazing companies have been models for us as we look at the best ways to grow and add value to our customers. Thanks again!
Sampath S

Jumping on it when all the apps are available would be the best move. Way to go, Appsumo team!

Pros:

Hugeeee Savingsssss - Too many apps for the price of two apps is amazing

Cons:

Wish there are more integrations between the apps in the briefcase

Dan Clark
Woot! Looking forward to using Briefcase. 🙌 I've been an AppSumo for years. I've seen AppSumo grow, but I've also seen them stay consistent and only promote product that they actually use and are the best out there. I know as Briefcase grows I'm going to have a collection of great products, but I'm most looking forward to the time it saves knowing that they pick the best of each category inside.
Ayman Abdullah
@dan_clark Pumped having you and Brain.fm in Briefcase Dan! Thanks for the love!
