I've been an early user of Bright. We use Braintree for our SaaS payments and their dashboard is not actionable at all. Aggregated data focused on management of transactions and subscriptions. I keep data on customer segments and their MRR in a spreadsheet.
Bright solves this by allowing us to look at customer segments and their SaaS metrics in detail. This makes it easier to communicate what's happening with the product cross-functionally and measure success with quick access to the KPIs we need.
@eric3000 Thanks Eric, we appreciate your support!
For other folks interested in using Braintree, we'll be opening up support soon. Eric and team have been early testers.
This looks absolutely amazingly simple to use. It makes me want to start a subscription business just to use this tool!
Very well done on the appearance of the saved segments and the search feature looks quick!
Well done. Hunted!
Companies have to work too hard to get to actionable metrics...
Bright makes it easy. I love this team and what they're building.
They're launching in beta today for Stripe users (https://www.bright.io/blog/intro...) and looking for feedback.
@jjudge this ticks so many boxes. Making it easy to identify our most valuable customers and get an idea of why is huge for us. Appropriate that such a cool saas product has an Irish connection - we love saas in Dublin! Great job!
Hi, we're using ChartMogul at present and can see how it's similar but with a focus on the actionable part.
With regard to the data enrichment beyond Stripe (shares daily, desktop users) where is that data coming from? And how difficult is that to add?
@td_evans Hi Thomas, thanks for the comment. You can add custom data to Bright using bright.js, a Javascript snippet that we supply during onboarding. This also enables us to track some extra bits like where people are coming from, which can be used for segmentation as well. If you want to dig in, feel free to ping me via jeff@bright.io.
@mnlfrgr Hi Manuel, thanks for your support. If you use Stripe, you can get up and running right now. My email address is jeff@bright.io if you have any questions.
Hi hunters! We're excited to open up Bright in beta today for Stripe users. While there are a lot of great tools out there to help you track the what of your KPIs, what's missing is the why and how. Our mission is to build a product that helps you grow your subscription business faster by surfacing actionable insights. This is a very early release of our product, and we'd love your feedback.
@jjudge Great work, Jeff! I love how simple and focused Bright is in comparison with competitors' apps. What's the pricing policy? I can't find this on your website...
@agilek Thanks Mike! At this point we're looking to prove the product is valuable. We'll have pricing sorted shortly, but plan to offer a free version to startups as well as a paid version that will be super easy to work with. We'll also giving hunters 50% off for the first six months.
Love this team and product. They're building this to surface insights they wish they had in previous businesses. Too many companies waste cycles misunderstanding what is actually happening with their customers and metrics.
What is the main differentiator between Bright and @Baremetrics? Right now it seems as though it surfaces some analytics of SaaS in plain English on a landing page?
@rob__race Hey Rob, thanks for the comment. We think Baremetrics is a great product for tracking revenue KPIs. Though we may feel similar now, we're heading in a different direction. You know your KPIs - but how do you improve them? Bright uses your business's data to help you identify strategic and tactical opportunities for growth.
To date, beta users have used Bright to identify under-performing acquisition/marketing channels by comparing LTV between channels or coupon codes, highlight and track valuable customer segments, and to make product strategy decisions (e.g. use of a specific feature correlates with very high LTV -- let's make it more obvious).
If you use Stripe for subscription billing, we'd love to have you check it out and give us any feedback you have. This is an early release of the product and we're looking to validate that it's helpful. You can also reach me via jeff@bright.io. Thanks!
We started using it as well and it's π₯π₯π₯
Small suggestion: Keep the free plan for startups that make less than few K in MRR.
Initially, we wanted to go with Baremetrics but they start from 50/mo which we cannot afford at this stage.
