Hey all, After our initial beta release won Product of the Day back in April, we're excited to share the App Store version of Bright! We've built up a beta user community of over 7,000 people from around the world - and most of them came from here, Product Hunt. So firstly, a big thank you to all of you for helping us reach this point. Our vision for Bright is to be your last health app. We've built the app piece by piece, reiterating and redesigning it until we believed we crossed "the threshold" - we were ready for launch. Over the coming weeks we're going to implement improvements such as: copy/paste for meal logging, creating favourites, a describe-to-log feature and much more. Our goals for early next year is: begin development of Android and continue product expansion so that we have workout planning, customisation and menstrual cycle tracking. At that point we believe Bright will have the functionality required for most users to have Bright as their last health app. Thanks for your support! Happy to answer any questions. Cheers, Bryan

Looks super clean. Defo will give it a try!

@yigitpinarbasi thank you, hope you enjoy it!

@bryan_jordan It’s a bit disappointing that there’s no way to use it for free. I’d have preferred an option to use it without a monthly or yearly subscription (yeah, I know there’s a 7-day trial).

Congrats on the launch @ian_qu @bryan_jordan @jayden_matthews @antonius_aldo_salim @sandip_gangajaliya. Love the clean and vibrant interface. Its definitely appealing :) How does this stand out compared to Google Fit? Any plans to integarte with wearables?
Bryan Jordan
@ian_qu @jayden_matthews @antonius_aldo_salim @sandip_gangajaliya @ashitvora Thank you! Yes we integrate with wearables like Apple Watch, Fitbit, Whoop, Garmin etc via Apple Health. We'll be developing direct integrations in the near future. Google Fit is predominantly focused on heart health. An important aspect, but we believe seeing the full picture of your health is even more important. That's why we connect the dots with heart health + sleep health + nutrition etc so users can see all inputs.
J Scherbak
love this app and have used it since the early launch! The only feature I'm waiting for is integration with nutrition data sources to automatically send the data to Bright. For instance, I use Yazio to log food and want Bright to gather this data.
Bryan Jordan
@j_scherbak thank you, means a lot to hear from you! Aiming for a full Apple Healthkit integration in the coming weeks.

Sleek design (as well as for the app and website too) :) Wish you GL not only with this launch but overall – especially with approving SOC2 :)
Bryan Jordan
@busmark_w_nika thank you! Much appreciated :)

Launching soon!
Congratulations on the launch! We have an AI product about to be launched, and we look forward to your attention.(*^▽^*)

@dejavideos thank you! Good luck!

Hey everyone, KJ here! So excited to be able to share Bright OS with you all! I've been on this boat for couple years now as Head of Marketing - though I'm always keen on jumping into the dev cycle whenever I can. We've seen our community grow from only consisting of friends & family to now thousands of users, and we're stoked to finally be able to bring it worldwide with our App Store launch! You can read all about our road till launch here: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/5... Thanks for all your support! KJ

Bright OS is truly an all-in-one health app! It offers everything you need to fully control your well-being. From food tracking with the ability to scan barcodes and analyze photos of dishes, to monitoring sleep, activity and heart rate.
Bryan Jordan
@varrr_al thank you!
Ashley Rehan
So how does this sleep tracking works? Do we have to log manually or is there any way that this can track them?
Bryan Jordan
@ashleyrehan using a wearable is recommended or you can manually add your sleep logs

Looks really cool. Unfortunately i instantly deleted the app after I saw the pricing. I understand you want to earn money and you put a lot of effort into this app but in comparison to apps like MyFitnessPal, sleep cycle etc. I wouldn’t think about paying that amount of money in a month. Anyway I wish you good luck and happy sales!
Antonius Aldo Salim
Hello everyone, Antonius here! I’m excited to finally introduce Bright OS to the world! I’ve been working on Bright OS behind the scenes as a software engineer for a couple of years now, tweaking and refining the tech that powers our app. None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of so many, especially the Reddit community who’s stuck with us and helped shape Bright OS through thick and thin. Now, with our official launch on the App Store, I can’t wait for even more people to experience what we’ve built. Thanks a ton for your support! Antonius
Sandip Gangajaliya
Hi everyone! I’m Sandip, and I’ve been working as an iOS engineer at Bright OS. It’s been an incredible journey bringing this idea to life, and I’m excited to see it launch on Product Hunt today! Can’t wait to hear your feedback and see how Bright OS helps you to track your health.
Zhiqi Shi
This looks like a product that brings together various health scenarios. How does it differ from Apple's Health app?
Bryan Jordan
@zhiqi_shi thanks for your comment! Apple's health app requires 3rd party apps to unlock functionality eg. MyFitnessPal, Heart Watch, AutoSleep etc. Bright natively provides this functionality so you don't need any other subscriptions to see the full picture of your health.
Bryan Jordan
@mars_go thank you!
Deepank Vora
Having all the health related functionalities in a single place sounds very convenient. Nice work, will try this out!
Benson Huang
Congrats @bryan_jordan on the launch! I personally love this idea, since I am into health and fitness myself. Just a question- how does Bright differentiate itself from other health apps, like the Apple Health app, Omos, and Noom?
Bryan Jordan
@benson_huang we provide the native functionality for meal logging, weight tracking etc unlike having to subscribe to other apps to unlock the functionality - as you do with Apple health
Feliciana
Congratulations on the launch! I love the concept of combining core health tracking functions into one app. It saves storage space and is much more convenient for users. May I know how Bright analyzes users' heart rates? Does it require a wearable device?
Bryan Jordan
@feliciana_liu thanks! Users need a wearable like an Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, Whoop etc to provide the raw biometric data. We then provide the analysis.
Feliciana
@bryan_jordan That makes a lot of sense. Does the app also offer personalized recommendations based on the data, or it's more focused on providing comprehensive analysis?
Bryan Jordan
@feliciana_liu it does both!
Johan Steneros
Been looking for an app that does this as simply as possible. Will test it out.
Vishal Bansal
If you could track just one health metric for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Bryan Jordan
@vishal_bansal003 great question! Potentially heart rate variability or resting heart rate. Definitely heart related as without it - nothing else matters!
