Great app! I was just looking for something exactly like this. Some feedback below; - there are too many "+" icons. I got really confused where should I create tasks first? - why I am able to create tasks for yesterday? - a new tab page extension would be GREAT! please reach me if you want to talk more about it! Kudos!
Hamish Johnson
@nucro Thanks for the suggestions! 1. I should auto create some initial tasks as a demo. 2. Well the entries can be tasks, events or notes. You might want to add a note for the day previously for the sake of journaling. 3. What do you mean by this? Would love to hear! Cheers :)

@hamish_johnson for 3, I don't want to share another app for false advertisement but what I meant is, something like when you open a new tab page in Chrome, Bullet shows up.
Hamish Johnson
@nucro Gotcha, yeah I can see that being useful

Incredible app, i'm using it every day (please add time to the events). Any plan to get notifications or reminders? Thanks and congrats

Would suggest having a demo or sample to play around with before having to signup. Or, ideally, just start using and then 'save' to an account.
Hamish Johnson
@shridhargupta Good idea!

I've just signed up for this and on first impressions I must say I'm impressed so far. It's so simple and intuitive and it is exactly what I've been looking for. It also works great on a mobile browser. - Is there any plans for a native app in the future? - It would be nice to see keyboard shortcuts to speed up the workflow e.g. ctrl+n for a new note or ctrl+t for a new task etc. - Tags and search would also be a welcome addition. * edit: an easy way to rearrange items would be an improvement.

Hi hunters! Last year I started bullet journaling - an analog framework for writing journals that keeps things organized and easy to access. I found that it was useful for some things but wanted a digital version for my tasks and a few other things. So, over a week and a half when I *should* have been enjoying Christmas and New Years, I was having loads of fun building this out instead. It syncs to the cloud and it works offline too :D For the nerds: The app is built in Vue.js with Firebase as a serverless backend, and Vuetify as a component library. This combo made developing an absolute dream as it meant I can focus on making, rather than preparing, it also made turning it into a PWA a piece of cake. I've also used products from fellow makers in this build. I used Ouch! Illustrations for the illustrations on my front page (have had many compliments on these already) - Thanks @visualpharm! I also used Terms & Conditions Generator by iubenda which made making my T&C's and Privacy Policy a breeze. Thanks @facens!

Great app - super easy to use and exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I would suggest is making it a google chrome extension
Hamish Johnson
@susanna_sek Something that just sits in your chrome tab for easy peeking at your day?

Just created an account out of curiosity, currently using todoist as my main todo tool. First thing I miss is categorisation or labeling of some sorts. Really like the idea though.
Hamish Johnson
@richard_ramcharan Thanks! Have added it to the roadmap. Do you mean like being able to tag things?
Richard Ramcharan
@hamish_johnson Indeed. If for example I would set 2 goals for a year, 1. Read 5 books on product management by the end of 2020. 2. Be able to do 120 pushups in a row by the end of 2020 I would like to break these down into monthly and weekly goals. and tag each daily task so that I know which goal they relate to, kind of like tasks and subtasks, but then spreak over time units... Hope it makes sense :) (Additionally in the yearly view you could have milestones or a meter that shows the percentage complete of the yearly goal)
Hamish Johnson
@richard_ramcharan interesting - I think a simplistic tagging solution could work for now and maybe there's a more convenient way to do this in the future
Joshua Beretta
Love the simplicity 🕺

@joshberetta Thanks!

This is an outstanding app. I've moved from Wunderlist and also had a stint with Todoist. Bullet allows a record of all the past events/tasks and offers a clean interface to add new events and tasks. The only thing missing is the ability to set recurring tasks, that would be awesome. I love this app. Also the support is mindblowing, I had an issue logging in on Android (which was due to my error) and Hamish got back to me within minutes with the solution. Wow!
Jai Mareddy
How are you currently collecting user feedback? I'd love to talk to someone within your startup about that workflow!
Hamish Johnson
@mareddyjai Just an email link right now

I hate product websites without pictures of the product, it's quite a turnoff
Hamish Johnson
@daniel_r4 Gotcha - good to know

This looks fantastic. I'm a longtime bullet journaler and I'm looking forward to trying this out. Your landing page looks great as well. Have you considered adding OAuth signups? I wonder if that would reduce friction in the signup process.

Sorry, I don't know if this is a duplicate. - nested tags or folders to group them That would make a winner for me

What about exporting? Really a good job!

@hamish_johnson I'm using Bullet Journal for awhile and really like this app. However I found authentication/accoun management issue: 1. I'm using it on my laptop since January 9th 2. today I've decied to login to the app on my phone and got "account does not exist" message 3. registered using the same email as at step #1 and _new_ account was created with empty journal Now I've two accounts linked with same email: one with Jan/Feb logs and another w/o logs. Thoughts how it can be fixed?
Hamish Johnson
@gamid_isayev Hi Gamid, that's really strange and unexpected behavior. I suspect you may have used a different email address for the first one, perhaps a typo - please message me with your email using the feedback button in the app and i'll check if there are duplicate similar emails addresses registered. As a sidenote, the next features on the roadmap are the ability to change your email & password, which i'll be building today/tomorrow.
Alexander Khayurov
I like design - it is simple, easy to use. Great work indeed! As for functionality - plenty of similar products on the market much more complex, how you gonna compete with these big guys?
Hamish Johnson
@alexkhayurov I think most of the big guys have wisely gone down the B2B route with their premium offering - paying for team members etc - however I think Bullet Journaling serves the personal journaling space much better. I have a ton of feature ideas in this line and I'm thinking of packaging them up into a premium subscription.
Alexander Khayurov
@hamish_johnson, wish you good luck! Would appreciate to be kept in touch about further developement of Bullet.
Hamish Johnson
@alexkhayurov Absolutely! I quickly put this together and didn't create a mailing list. Since you're already signed up you'll definitely receive news regarding this in the future. Thanks Alex :)
NOGAWA
Love the app! Thanks a lot
