Hey everyone, it's Peer from Cal.com and we're crazy pumped to be launching Cal.ai with all of you today. It's been a wild journey with many ups and downs to get this shipped but we're very proud of the outcome. As someone who greatly values productivity and efficiency, I'm hyped about Cal.com's new AI scheduling tool. It's been cool to see GPT enable so many new use cases. Really excited about what Peer, Bailey, and the team have built here!

I really like the name! I think it could be clearer about what it actually is. Is it a calendly replacement, is it an otter.ai replacement ? or is there another differentiator here?

@peer_rich Yes but as a potential customer then I am asking my self. Why would I switch from callendly and otter to cal.ai? What is the benefit of having this rolled into one? Also it seems like it's a google meet rolled into it as well. Bundling is fine, but it's not a differentiator that will convert users per se. As a potential customer I would want to know the tremendous benefit of having all these features in one. Then When I understand this benefit I would make the effort to ditch what I currently use and adopt this new better solution. Right now that argument isn't made clear in the communication on the website. # my 2 cents

@peer_rich @sentry_co Switched a year ago from calendly and never looked back. Simply a much better product experience. If you're happy with calendly, just stick.

I am pretty sceptical about most AI products, since there is so much noise, but but this really awesome. Cal only ships stuff that's actually usable day and I am really hyped to try it out ❤️🚀

I’m super excited to be launching Cal.ai finally. This is an incredibly useful way to interact with cal.com and schedule meetings more naturally, and we’ll continue to extend this with more ways to communicate with it (SMS, Telegram, Raycast etc). It’s going to be awesome.

I love not thinking about scheduling anymore. I got a DM from someone on twitter who wanted to book a user interview -> From my phone, I just emailed dexter@cal.ai: "Find a time to meet with [their email address]" and closed the mail app. I didn't have to think about it at all -> The AI got in touch with the person I wanted to meet, found a good time and put it on my calendar. I got a notification with a video link some time the next day -> clicked it and was chatting with my new friend in a different timezone halfway around the world. Literally 10 seconds of logistics all included. It's not perfect yet - lot's to polish and tons of exciting ideas coming in to explore - but I think with this tech - we can see a path to ending Calendar BS and giving everyone a personal assistant in their pocket. PLUS IT'S FREAKING OS so you can stand it up locally or use it as a framework for building your own AI assistants! BTW, if you ever have questions about the tech or want to chat about AI -> You can now literally just email hi@cal.ai "Book time with @dexter to talk about AI" 🚀✌️

Just gave it a go and it's definitely the easiest meeting I've ever scheduled! No context switching, no distractions, and works even better on mobile too.

Great idea to make ai do another, otherwise manual task of adding / scheduling events! Can be a significant helper for someone having and managing a lot of cal events. The landing page could be a bit more clear. You also got a text there saying "One on on with Sally" on one of the images.
