This is one of the coolest project out there. Was interacting with team in slack and they are amazing people. The best part of calendso is the UI. Sure that people will love this awesom eproduct.
Bailey Pumfleet
@sreekanth850 Thanks very much Sreekanth! We look forward to continuing our journey with you on Slack.

Congrats on the launch! :) Great to see a OS alternative to Calendly. A minor thing I noticed: You can actually confirm a booking without entering any information and just clicking on the "book" button (tried it with demo)
Bailey Pumfleet
@sobedominik Thanks! We’re soon implementing more input validation to fix this

Me, Peer, and hundreds of others have been looking for a more powerful calendar scheduling solution to replace Calendly. One that is customisable, integrates with anything, is white label and more. So, we decided to create our own. We've had over 500 people sign up on our early access list, and we already have an awesome community around Calendso. We're super happy to be finally launching it! We believe that nothing should stand between connecting humans and scheduling important events. That's why Calendso is open-source and available to everyone, for free. Our mission is to democratise and decentralise calendar scheduling, enabling everyone to be able to use calendar scheduling however they'd like. For instance, booking a COVID vaccine shouldn't happen on a server in another country that somebody else is in control of. That's why Calendso enables you to self-host your calendar scheduling, so that your data belongs to you. This enables government bodies and healthcare organisations to use Calendso for their scheduling needs, as existing SaaS alternatives don't meet the compliance requirements. What email has done to communication, we hope Calendso will do to meetings. We're here to make calendar scheduling work for absolutely everyone.

@baileypumfleet amazing! Thanks for making it open source!

Super excited about the launch of Calendso by @baileypumfleet! I couldn't hold back and made a video to explore the open source project and how to run it yourself:
I used Railway to spin up a quick development PostgreSQL and definitely will deploy it to Vercel and Railway for production.

@baileypumfleet This is amazing. Exactly what I have been thinking to build but could never find time. 🚀
Veeresh Devireddy
@baileypumfleet Great initiative, and really needed for country-specific sensitive data requirements.

@baileypumfleet Does it support checking availability of multiple users simultaneously? For example, if I want a client to choose a meeting time, but only when all 5 of my team members are available? If not, huge opportunity here for the future. Thanks!
Devan Sabaratnam
This looks very cool. Does it do 'round robin' scheduling among a team of users? i.e. for booking demo calls, can each team member (in different parts of the world) put in their available days and time, and the system will find a best fit, or spread the bookings among several team members who may be available at the same time?
Bailey Pumfleet
@dsabar not yet, but this is definitely coming soon!

Hey! Great product! I have been using Calendly for a long time and want to try an alternative. Will I be able to integrate your product into my site?
Bailey Pumfleet
@alxvok Absolutely!
Johannes
Definitely needed - kudos to Bailey and Peer for the development velocity! Can't wait to see the project unfold 🚀
Bailey Pumfleet
@jobenjada Thank you very much Johannes, we managed to get this built in about a month and a half, and we have huge plans going forward for the future. 📈

I actually recognize the voice over in your promo video! It's Alain de Botton!! How did you manage to get him to do the voice over? Great stuff!! :)
Chris Dietrich
Fantastic to see an open source alternative to the calendar/p2p-scheduling layer. The UI is great as well, but the main magic is being able to do deeper integrations. Can't wait to try it out.
Bailey Pumfleet
@chrisdietr Absolutely, the ability to add completely custom integrations is one of the core principles of Calendso. We're working hard to build many more off-the-shelf integrations, but if you for instance wanted to add a custom integration with an LMS for instance, Calendso allows you to do that easily.
Szczepan Serwatka
Wow, pretty impressive. nice idea with open source! For sure I will contact with you to have a discussion regarding open-source idea.
Bailey Pumfleet
@szczepan_serwatka Thanks! Feel free to drop us a message at hello@calendso.com or join our Slack (link is on our website footer). We look forward to speaking with you :)

Hey everyone, we are nominated to become Product of the Year 2021! Head over to https://www.producthunt.com/gold... and vote for Cal.com ❤️
Natascha Buck 🇨🇭
wow, open source and great looking! If i only knew how to self-host this 🥺 I'd like it to connect with iCal. Is that possible?
Bailey Pumfleet
@nataschabuck Coming soon, along with lots of other integrations!

I was intrigued, but I don't seem to be able to add multiple Google Calendar accounts. The biggest miss is Calendso doesn't appear to check for conflicts on multiple connected calendars in the same account either. This means that even though my main calendar is open at that point, there are other events that are booked for that time slot that should make me unavailable.
Lauren Dorman
Of course. Create an open-source alternative to a Black-owned business. 😒 Obviously didn't consider the impact here.
Bailey Pumfleet
@laurendorman I don’t see your point.
Sergio Solari
Looking forward to make use of this! Love how customizable it can be! how did you came up with the idea? just curious!

Finally! Calendly was a revolutionary product that combined great UX & functionality to make meeting booking/appointments painless. Calendso has taken it up a notch by offering an open source, customisable version without compromising on UX. Excited to see you guys launch and for the roadmap!
Bailey Pumfleet
@glnarayanan Thanks Lakshmi, we agree that Calendly and other scheduling tools are awesome, but we started Calendso to make calendar scheduling work for everyone, and make it more accessible. Thank you again for your kind words!
Tyler Sellhorn
I was so tired of all the different schedulers attempts to fit everyone’s idiosyncratic needs all at once. “Open source Calendly”? Yes, please! Thanks for being awesome @baileypumfleet @peer_rich
Ian
thank you so much for making this open source. I work with a lot of nonprofits that can't afford the $12/user/month of paid solutions.
DrewVolpe
Love the idea, but signed up and it's a buggy, hot mess of a product. There's a lot of little bugs throughout, especially around things like settings changing when you press "save". Then, two days ago, my calendar started letting people sign up for any slot. I reentered setting and did everything to fix it, but no luck. It's still broken, so I've gone back to using Calendly.
Peer Richelsen
@drewvolpe all of this has been resolved
Daryna Radiichuk
Finally I found something as an alternative to Calendly! I would work on the monetisation system more properly though, as now it looks like you are not going to earn good money with the product. Good luck guys.
Bailey Pumfleet
@daryna_radiichuk We've mainly been focused on just getting this launched and available for everyone as open source. We'll be focusing on our SaaS offering, enterprise support and custom integrations (all monetisation methods) soon.
Sagiv Ofek
Nice! I would love to see a docker image with the db and server already setup so I can deploy it easily to any cloud provider.
