Hello world πŸŒπŸ‘‹! We have just released our free chat widget to facilitate and boost customer communication through messaging applications. To install the widget, you will just need to create an account, connect your Facebook page, add your WhatsApp number, your Instagram and Telegram username. You can choose which channels you want to add and if you want them to appear on desktop, mobile or both. If you like it, you can also change the widget icon with a picture or a GIF πŸ€—. Copy and paste the script into your site and you're done! To do so, you can use Google Tag Manager or paste the code in before the end of the section of your website. After 24 hours, you will be able to see statistics on unique visitors / visitors, clicks on the widget, clicked channels, devices and localization straight from your dashboard. This widget is just a part of a bigger plan to build a customer communication platform dedicated to mobile messaging applications β›οΈπŸ˜ƒ If you have any questions or feedback, we would be happy to hear from you! You can reach us by leaving a comment here below or via email at hello@callbell.eu :)

@callbell @carlo_morandi94 Hey reader: be an early adopter, get Callbell beta straight from the developers. I did it and it really helped streamlining customer care. Looking forward the next release. Well done guys!
Jonas

Can't wait to see how the tool improves!

Pros:

Really good tool to manage all customer contact channels through a single interface, keeping knowledge and a single point of contact.

Cons:

Did not identify any

We are using the Callbell widget to manage our customer communication and has been working great so far! Consumer messangers like WhatsApp are just the easiest way to interact with our clients. We're looking forward for what comes next!

We use Callbell to allow visitors to get in touch with our support team via Telegram. The widget took us less than 3 minutes to be up and running

Pros:

Super simple, not intrusive and effective! Great for a mobile-first audience

Cons:

None at the moment

Great and user friendly tool It's really helping streamlining the interactions with our customer base! If you do not think you need something like this, think again!

Two things: 1. The app is asking for too many unnecessary permissions when it comes to adding your facebook page. For some reason, just the "manage messages" permission is not enough and they say you need to allow 'everything' including "manage ads" etc. Support can't explain why they need it. 2. Not only support can't explain anything, they also don't care to reply in a timely manner. I waited 4 days days to get clarification on why they require that many permissions not related to the task I was going to use the app for, and support did not care to reply. I deleted my account.

Looks great but I have a question : Do you plan to integrate WeChat as well?
Carlo Morandi
@marco_nuori Hi Marco, thanks for your feedback! At the moment we are focusing on this four integration for the simple reason we will also work on a chat interface to manage all the incoming chats coming from those channels. It's likely that we will consider WeChat in the future tough :)

Simple and straight to the point. I was expecting to see a different integration for WhatsApp on desktop, other than an external link to their web version. I understand WA is not very flexible yet, but that would definitely be a great addition when possible. Being able to mantain the visitor on the site while using any IM. The branding is really small, however, for those managing big brand websites I would suggest adding a paid option to remove the credits. Features request: * Paid plan to remove branding * Be able to add a custom IM like a chat support link
Carlo Morandi
@jorgecerda Hi! As you mention, WhatsApp is at the moment very limited and there is simply no way to mantain the user on the website and use WhatsApp to chat straight from there. We will try to do our best as soon as WhatsApp improve its documentation 😊 . Regarding the branding, we would like to keep our widget 100% free as it's key for our branding; our end goal is to build a platform to manage incoming conversations from the integrated channels and to enable sales and support teams to easily collaborate in a single interface. For websites with a significant traffic that want to use our widget, feel free to reach out to me at carlo@callbell.eu and we will remove it for free on your account! πŸ™‚ Hope this helps!

Looks great but the widget was hidden because I'm using an ad blocker (uBlock Origin).
Carlo Morandi
@danielbovey Hi Dan! Unfortunately we cannot do much about it! Some ad blockers do not allow the browser to load our script. It's an issue you are likely to face with other many chat tool or products based on a script installed on the website.
Matias T
Excellent!!! Great job with this - one of my top creation this year so far !
Carlo Morandi
@matiast Wow! Thanks for this feedback Matias! Highly appreciated :)
Giaco mo
Amazing guys! Good design, easy to use & great support
Gianluca Bargelli
@giaco_mo1 Thanks πŸ™if you have feedback don't hesitate to share it with us :)
Carlo Morandi
@eulerr Thanks Denis!
Alan TrovΓ²
Love the design! How would you compare Callbell to Whatshelp? Is there any difference?
Carlo Morandi
@alan_trovo Thanks! So the main differences at the moment are that we're using the Facebook Customer Chat Plugin (which allow visitors to chat straight on the website) instead of a simple link to the Facebook Page + a free Analytics module to understands visitors behaviours. The user experience is also quite different in terms of design and we integrate Instagram Direct on top of WhatsApp, Messenger and Telegram.
Jordy De Wit
Looks interesting, is it possible to display the widget on mobile only?
Carlo Morandi
@jordy_dw Hi! Yes, it is! For every channel you set up on your account, you will be able to choose if you want to display them on mobile, desktop or both. If you deactivate every channel on desktop, for instance, the widget will not be displayed at all to desktop users.
