Very exciting tool! How is the code written (and reviewed)? Are these all templates or are they AI-generated?

Thanks @lrueger ! Canonic allows you to build your applications & automation from scratch using low-code (drag & drop frontend builder, step-by-step workflows, etc.). You can start from scratch or use templates to get a jumpstart, you can clone them and then change & grow them per your needs. They're fully editable. You can write code in the built-in code editor; all changes are recorded using a changelog so they can be reviewed before deploying your app. However, there's no code review & approval feature yet, however, we're working on a Git integration that would allow you to do that. Should be out soon :) Hope that helps!

@pratham_agrawal3 Thank you, this already helps regarding the review part of my question. I was wondering more about the first code snippets - which you can then re-write and change yourself. I meant whether these are templates prepared by you or they are generated on the spot? I'm a big fan of low-code and the way it democratizes coding and software development so I really like your approach!

@lrueger Ah got it! These are templates made by us based on some common use cases our users have come up with in the past. We are exploring some exciting ways GenAI can help us with some autogeneration as well, news on that soon! 🤞

I feel like you're going the right path there with assuring high-quality code outputs first and then only implementing AI once you found a way to include it well. Too many other products would use GenAI here just for the sake of it and produce low-quality code - probably without even noticing it. Good luck for your launch!

@aditijain08 first of all I'll self host Canonic's builder into my infrastructure, this functionality is awesome! After that I'll migrate the projects I have in Bubble. And last but not least, I have some new projects for 2024 that I'll start to cook directly on Canonic. I work on some heavy stuff like CRM's and ERP's so I think this is the beginning of a wonderful journey.

Congratulations on the launch. This looks interesting. What kinds of integrations do you guys support? I often work with google sheets and have to build many solutions on top of it. Is that something Canonic can help me with?

@chaitanya_agrawal Also, regarding integrations, we support 3rd party services like Airtable, Google Calendar, Jira, Microsoft, Notion, Salesforce, Zapier, Google Analytics, Youtube, Apollo.io, Hubspot, Leadsquared, Smartlead, Asana, Trello, Click Up and many more services. In terms of Databases, we support Mongo DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL and Redis. If there is any other specific integration you would like us to add, we can help you out with the same. Or you can use the external API node to connect to services outside of our list.

@chaitanya_agrawal One of the core strengths of Canonic lies in its ability to seamlessly connect with various data sources, enabling you to leverage the power of external databases (MySQL, MongoDB, etc) and third-party integrations (Shopify, Google Sheets, etc). You can easily connect to your existing sheets, which allows you to fetch & update its data. Once you have the connection set, you can use our frontend builder to spin up solutions on top of it.
