Hello Product Hunt! My name is João and I have been working on Captionfy for a couple of years now. Captionfy is a YouTube subtitle editor with extra features (such as coloring subtitles, bold/italic formatting and more) and with a growing community of captioners/subtitlers and YouTubers who collaborate within the platform to create, edit, share, publish and discover new subtitles. Captionfy’s community consists mainly of: - Fans/viewers who create subtitles for YouTube videos and share them within their community (fansubs for example). - YouTubers who use the subtitle editor for their videos, or who ask their viewers for help captioning their videos. - Teams of captioners/subtitlers who work together in a private team workspace to create and edit subtitles for YouTube videos. Captionfy 2.0: After noticing an increase of usage from YouTubers, last week I released a "Publish to YouTube" button for every subtitle within the platform. This makes polishing and publishing captions to YouTube videos much simpler for YouTubers. I have fun working on Captionfy, and am certain it can be very useful for many YouTubers and fans out there. Captionfy has been great for my team to manage the subtitles of our company's YouTube videos. The team workspace is simple to use and I can easily publish the captions to YouTube once they are finished. And Joao has been very responsive on all our questions/problems!

I sub YouTube videos from a YouTuber I like and Captionfy made it very easy for me to fix the auto-generated captions and polish them before I share the subtitles with the YouTuber. The latest updates with coloring the captions for example are great and I can create very clean captions now.

Captionfy is fantastic! It seems that from now on, subtitleting your videos will be a must, not only to make it accessible for those who speech others languages, but also for those who can't play a video with sound on. The auto generated cptions from Youtube are sometimes messy and works mainly with english... The tool has a friendly interface, ease of use, adding with extra features, such as quick publishing the subtitle directly to youtube channel (amazing!) and the advanced text formatting options (coloring, bold, etc) make subtitles outstand and generate more value to my content. A couple years ago, I was so bummed when Youtube removed its community captions feature because I just started writing English translations for Japanese videos just for fun. but then the legend himself let me know that Captionfy exists! it has been super awesome and I love the community! I like to think I was one of the first users haha. anyways thank you Joao :]]]
