Cardanti is a smart business card that removes the friction between networking offline and online. You can easily share your contact information face to face using a NFC/ QR enabled card or online using the share button in your Cardanti Profile.
Loving everything about this. The website is sleek too, great job guys. Immediate thoughts:
- Even as we come out of lockdowns (hopefully not temporarily), people will still be nervous about germs etc. Having something that doesn't require collecting people's paper cards, and is contactless, actually feels very of-the-moment. Good luck making some people take your old business card these days. This seems like a great post-COVID answer.
- When it comes to making an impression, substance matters, but being memorable is just as important - which is why I think beyond practicality, these cards are so smart/ a great opportunity for early users. These cards are just novel enough to make you stand out in somebody's memory (and ensures they don't lose your contact to begin with!), but simple enough that anyone will get it. Anyone who has attended a tech conference the past few years is already using QR codes to scan attendees/get their contacts. This seems like the evolution of that, not just with your own general QR code but the NFC aspect.
- Having seen some of this team's work with ZoidPay, I have 100% confidence in the quality of this card. It's like asking an F1 mechanic to also do a bit of work on your bicycle. You can be pretty confident of what you're getting!
@1upm Hahah I love the F1 mechanic metaphor , it is indeed a lot easier to develop from a tech perspective than a blockchain product. The comparison goes further though, at ZoidPay we talk about cashless societies and so on, while at Cardanti we are getting rid of other pieces of paper with stuff written on them: paper business cards.
I was actually talking to a guy on PH about the problems they have in Japan because they have an interdiction to give business cards and its kind of a big fuss over there, the whole process. So considering nobody has to touch anything here, it will help them.
We developed the product as easy to use as possible to help older people adopt it. We took great care not to interfere with the habit of giving business cards. In the end most of us millennials would instantly adopt and understand a product like this, on the other hand older people would not and still offer paper cards for 15 more years. Luckily we succeeded as we have great feedback from older people.
Thanks a lot for the time taken to comment and for the kind words.
First off - love it!
?makers - how does this compare to the recent Mobilicard (sp?) offering which seems similarly-minded, and recently did fairly well here on PH?
A few q's if I may -
1. Candidly, I vastly prefer your design over that offering, and that the Cardanti branding on those is a little subtler. That said, Mobilicard's Zapier and native CRM automations are a HUGE draw for me; is that something that's on your horizon?
2. Is there a black on black offering? Considering my logo (seymourgroup.co) that would be ideal!
3. What's the general price range for the advanced/custom cards? I'd only be seeking 2-3, so, I doubt "volume pricing" to be in play...
@seymourgroup Hey Graham! Mobilicard is a payment card, ours is a business card for networking purposes.
1. The integration with CRM's is in the roadmap for us for sure, but we want to make sure everything that we develop stands at the UX standards of what we have now. We dont want to implement a feature early with a bad execution, we rather work on it until its ready for market. Also, we will make our branding on the product even subtler.
2 and 3. We can do that for sure. The price for one card is 39.99 EUR, we can either make the design or give you a template to make the one of your choice.
Thanks for your feedback and questions.
It was such a great experience to bring this card to trade shows. It became the talk of the show, helped me with Networking and getting better connections. The result you can see in the video, people really enjoyed it and everyone asked where to get it.
Can't wait to see where this product will be in the future. So much added value and functions to be built on top of this.
Wish you the best on this launch!
@skavhellen Thanks for writing to us in the first place! We're super happy with how things went and considering we just launched the website today, its just the begining. Looking forward to whats next to come.
@e_b_rosner
The Cardanti business card allows you to transfer your contact details, social media profiles, presentations and more with one tap. It works via NFC, as well as QR code. You also have a Cardanti digital profile where you can change and update your information at any time. Here's the onboarding video (what happens when you receive the card):
And here’s a 30 sec video to see how it works after that:
Hello PH! 🐱
🦠 Current context: This pandemic won't last forever so we decided to launch our product now as a token of hope that soon enough people will start meeting again.
🕔 The story: For the past 2 years we've been going to events with our other product (a Blockchain Wallet that allows you to make blockchain transactions face to face using a proprietary card, making your phone a POS).
Regardless of how futuristic our discussion was, at some point people asked for our business cards. For us it felt a bit off brand to talk about decentralized payments in cashless societies and hand over the equivalent of cash for information: a paper business card.
What followed next was the part where you end up searching your LinkedIn profile on strangers' smartphones because they can't spell your name.
Our solution: Using our knowledge of NFC cards and data privacy, we created a product that eliminates this friction between digital and paper business card users. The product had no initial market purpose, but as soon as we used it, people asked us how to get their own, and this is how Cardanti was born.
After creating the brand, design, and website we made cards and gave them to people, we collected feedback and improved the product. The product's great virality actually got us this video. Thomas saw the card and wrote us, we gave him a card and we woke up with that beautiful video a couple of weeks later (for which we thank him). He is now our exclusive reseller for Norway.
🤝 Meet Cardanti:
Our aim is to make Cardanti the standard for business cards, with that in mind we created a product that doesn't interfere with the habit of giving business cards, while bringing extra benefits, so:
💳 Its a physical Card and you only need one.
So no more stacking cards in your pockets, no more running out of business cards or having to buy them every quarter or semester. Furthermore, less 🌳 being cut for our networking needs.
📲 One Tap, no app.
Just like regular business cards it doesn't require you to install anything. You tap the business card on the back of the other person's smartphone, which prompts them to save your details directly into their contact list. Over 80% of business cards end up in a drawer, but not your Cardanti card.
🐱👤 One digital business profile to sum-up all.
People who use regular business cards prefer to call, while people who prefer digital business cards like to communicate through social media. Your Cardanti Profile can share: Name, Role, Company, Profile Picture, Business Address, Website, Videos, Presentations, Links to your social channels such as: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Telegram, Dribble, Skype, and many more.
Most important: You can edit them at any time
🎨 Cardanti for You: Timeless
We've designed our cards with time on our mind, we want you to be able to use it for as long as possible without having to worry about it being outdated. There's dark theme and light theme and a total of 6 color options, besides that you can opt to have it personalized (Name, Role, Company)
🏢 Cardanti for your Business:
•Custom Cards: Companies can choose to have their logo and company colors
on the Cardanti card, or they can insert their own Custom Design.
•Custom Profiles: Company branding in the Cardanti business profile.
•Self-hosting for employee data. We provide the possibility for companies to be the owners of their employee's data.
•Special prices for B2B orders.
⚙ It works for Everone.
Timing was key in developing and releasing this product, so we decided to launch now as many companies push on NFC technology, and most new Android phones come with NFC out of the box. Furthermore, Apple has recently unlocked the NFC on IOS devices, so nobody is left behind. Until absolutely everyone will have an NFC enabled device, we'll keep a QR code on the back of the Card just in case, and that works on any smartphone with a camera.

❔ If you have any questions, we're here to answer them:
@kevin@andrei_popa33 congrats for the launch guys! I'm in the "business environment" since 2013 but never had physical business cards because I was lazy to make some and probably lazy enough to carry them with me at conferences. Even if we don't have clients in my country, I met a lot of people at conferences that asked me for my business card and then there was an awkward moment "Let's better connect on Facebook 😅".
So this seems something that I would like to try. Can you show me how an example for our website https://www.creative-tim.com would look like? Full name: "Alexandru Paduraru" Thanks!
@kevin@axelut@kevin@axelut Hey Alex! Thanks for the kind words. We had to search our linkedin profiles on a lot of stranger's smartphones before developing this, so we feel you. I gotta, say, the Creative Tim Card looks beautiful.
This is great, although I was slightly confused at first why it is needed, and I've left comments related to this here - https://app.usebubbles.com/edc9e...
@tom4 Thanks for the feedback, Tom! I'll reply here to make the conversation easier. We are looking on hotjar to get the feel of whats easy to grasp and what not, and as soon as we have the quantitative feedback, we'll improve the required areas. Thanks again for taking the time to look at our product.
I love it. It's practical, handy, smart, cool, eco-friendly and no matter what you believe a business card is always needed when you leas expect it so you should better be prepared.
@rutger_tolenaar I'm glad you love it! Initially we made some for ourselves and when we used it at events we realized the market potential it had, people we spoke to would come back to us with other people just to show them the card.
@jacob_rezi Because many people have a habit of giving paper business cards. We made a product that feels like giving paper business cards but has extra benefits: You only need one business card so no more buying cards each quarter, It's a good ice breaker at events, Your contact information doesn't get lost in a drawer like it happens with paper cards, etc.
Hey I love this! I have been developing a similar concept since the past 6 months. Can we set up and call and talk about some features you could implement? I can show you what I made with my team. Me and my friends started working on it in a hackathon at our University. I would love to help the team with some ideas. Please let me know.
@rohan_shiva Hey Rohan! Thanks for the kind words. For sure we can jump on a call with the team. Add me on LinkedIn or wherever you feel, here's my cardanti profile : https://cardanti.com/u/lP8vv8i7a...
This looks so cool! I especially like the sustainability aspect of it.
I've had so many sets of business cards over the years, and I think I've distributed less than 5% of them before they were outdated.
Ordering one now and looking forward to using it over and over!
@dragos_petria Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately companies still print a lot of paper card, 80% of them end up in a drawer for some time and then in the trash can. Let us know how you feel about the order process and if there's something we can improve. Thank you!
Had soo much fun making custom design for my own Cardanti Card!
When it arrived, I was super surprised of how smooth the entire experience is. From setting up the profile to giving your details to other peers.
Congrats and keep it up! Cardanti Smart Business Card
