@vedranrasic We look up to you guys as inspiration. We're looking to double down on the "optimization" part and get people into the best habits and hygiene with their profile. One thing we're looking into is giving people weekly reminders for checking in their profiles, adding more examples, as well as featured profiles.

I've always valued my personal brand and looked for ways to improve it. I think the profile score is incredible powerful and helps drive users to achieve a better grade - is this something you will share the calculation for or specific recommendations to improve it over time? Keep it up! ๐ฅ

Yes -- if you hover over your score on the extension, it actually gives you the context on how the score is calculated. Its 70% weighted for "must have" and 30% towards "nice to have".
We'll also keep improving over time and adding more things such as showing you where you stand with respect to other users. Thinking of making a blog post on the score calculation as well.

Really excited to share with you our LinkedIn Optimization tool today!
I'd like to start with sharing some backdrop for how this tool / our company came to be.
โณ Since COVID-19 both my co-founder @nikita_gupta4 and I have been helping people with their careers - with LinkedIn profile improvements, resume reviews, mock interviews, you name it. One of the challenges we faced is that it was hard to scale and positively impact a lot of people through this, though the few people we managed to help really benefitted. Additionally, with the tech layoffs happening right now and the looming recession, we felt now would be the best time to build a company that helps people in their careers and can scale through technology -- and make it COMPLETELY FREE. The last piece is really important because we didn't want money to be an obstacle to access our technology. With this goal in mind, I left my full-time job at Apple and we started Careerflow.
Careerflow's overall mission is to make job search 10X faster and less stressful for job seekers. And today, we're sharing with you the first step towards it -- LinkedIn Optimization. ๐๐๐
โWhat is LinkedIn Optimization?
๐ It's the process of updating your profile so that you follow all the best practices in order to land more opportunities. This is both by making your profile "SEO-friendly" as well as simply giving out a really good impression when someone views your profile.
โWhat does the Careerflow's LinkedIn Optimization tool do?
๐You get a profile score from 0-100 to quickly see how good/bad your profile is (100 is the best) with respect to objective best practices
๐ You get a *personalized* (is it AI?!) checklist for every section of your profile, letting you know what to improve, and how to improve it.
๐ You get access to the best practices setup by industry mentors, recruiters, and by LinkedIn's data team themselves. We went through all the blog posts, research, etc. so that you don't have to.
๐ You also get a step-by-step walkthrough from top to bottom explaining each and every section of the profile, you may not have even known some of these exist!
... And all of this is available directly on your LinkedIn profile, no need to switch tabs, search YouTube, read long blog posts, etc. It's really simple!
While we originally developed this tool for job seekers, we've seen that it's also working wonders for freelancers looking for gigs, entrepreneurs seeking funding, and anyone who's trying to make a good impression on LinkedIn!

Most importantly : Our tool works directly in your browser and works on your profile without having to go between multiple web pages. Second, because we are working on your profile as opposed to Worded / Jobscan which uses the PDF export, we can actually provide you much more detailed insights on topics like "open to work", "connections", etc. which are not possible to cover in those tools. Second last, we are experts at this and all of our information in the tool is data driven. And finally, we have a significantly superior experience that fits in perfectly with the LinkedIn ecosystem and feels like it's a feature of LinkedIn as opposed to being a third-party product.
