What are the key differentiators to Refresh? I use refresh and love it, but happy to try Charlie if there are some extra goodies that will make my life easier.
Wow this is pretty great. Basically what I do manually before meetings anyway. nnMy concern is I don't always have people's emails and info in my calendar invites. nnDoes it just email me the info before a meeting? Any way I can just search for someone manually?
@afrazin@DavidSpinks very cool. Used it for the first time this morning. Definitely helpful.
Only thing that was odd was the news it pulled in. I looked at my own profile and it pulled in news from like, 5 years ago, about things I'm not longer involved in.
Other than that, everything was relevant and helpful. Thanks for building this.
Oh one other thing is it keeps saying "You've looked at 2/5 pages" or something and it tells me to create an account, but I'm already logged into my account. It's a little confusing, what does that mean?
@jaronrayhinds@manavo I can't even begin to tell you how many people emailed us about an API the past couple days. Interesting. Curious to hear how you'd use it if we built it? Email me first name at Charlieapp.
Been using this for every meeting since it was hunted, connects perfectly with Google Calendar! Just saw that PH Calendar collection I think this would be a good addition to all of those amazing apps! @rrhoover
I have been testing on 2 accounts for the last day and it works well. In fact I wish I could combine both accounts (work, personal). So far, around 9 matches , 1 unknown and 1 missed. Nice intercom.io integration as well.
@afrazin re-alignment of the original idea I saw last year. Just signed up to try it out. One comment: I don't like being asked to recommend something to others w.o. having first having tried it out myself so having the last page of reg ask me to share is not the place to bubble up that form IMHO. Other than that the signup flow all worked well.
Been on the platform for approx 60 days , love the #UI .. Best feature is the email reminders of the scheduled appointment with all the actionable data. #StackTheDeck
Only similar service I have found in http://contactive.com/calendar which has an API and native app for Android.. Awesome product.. :)
I've been a beta tester for awhile and it's a pretty awesome service. The kind you don't need to remember to log in and check. It just connects to my calendar and sends me an email in the morning about what I need to know about meeting attendees to put me ahead of the game before meeting. It's pretty useful.
Been using Charlie since the beginning and it's continually improved. Great basic info to have before meeting with someone. Even more useful is getting all their social & news links in one place so I don't have to search for them manually.
One big drawback as I tried to test the system is that you got me to share my email address very reluctantly, then the second page told me it wouldn't work for me. I'd love to test it, but you lost me as soon as you took my email and failed to deliver.
I think there is huge potential, and the majority of Product Hunters probably don't sweat this, but many users will. Left a very bad taste in my mouth.
@afrazin when I try to connect G.Calendar, I get "This webpage is not available." Please let me know when that's working again, or what to do. Great concept, btw.
Interestingly enough this has been tried before: http://www.techvibes.com/company... Not sure what went wrong that time but hopefully CharlieApp finds a better fit.
