Ami is the breakthrough response, a Brand attuned to new modes of consumption, challenges of urban travel and environmental awareness.
Ami is a non-conformist object: 2 seats, 100% electric, comfortable and protective, compact and agile, customisable.

That skateboard pic.... "hello, fellow kids" 😂

Wow what a great concept. A city EV that's $6k and doesn't need a license plus 3 hrs charging time on a regular outlet. This will definitely bridge the EV mobility gap. Love it.

I am French and Citroen has a special place in my mind as an niche innovator. So my hot take is that a14 year old will prefer to take the bus that arrive at school in that car.

So someone age 14 can use this without a drivers license? It's not a self-driving car, so the person driving it should, NO MUST know the rules of the road. This is a horrendous accident waiting to happen b'c a 14 kid will get killed being hit by a larger car or semi truck b'c s/he doesn't know the rules of the road. My guess is bad marketing! Otherwise, innovation is good!

@clickryan Renault did the same several years ago with the Twizzy, and no big troubles (16 years old, not 14, but still).

Awesome work by Citroen. In Marseille (FR) we have an interesting solution based on Renault's Twizy, where people share small all-electric cars. You drive and drop them for 15mn if you like, much like a scooter. It's operated by a company called Totem, but I'm very interested in the idea of the carmaker itself running a similar service, like Citroen is going to.

the concept looked so much better than the end result...

I wonder how putting more cars on the streets does actually address our actual mobility crisis? 🤔

This is so cool! I don't fully understand why it's legal for teens to drive. Is it slower like a scooter? Wish we had this in America.
Mael Montarou
@kendallhtucker In France you can drive some slow scooter (less than 50cm3) from the age of 14 providing the fact that you pass an easy exam. This car must have the same specs as this kind of vehicle.

A very impressive vehicle! I could see these doing very well in Vancouver, especially since Car2Go is exiting Vancouver tomorrow, yet we're consitered to be "the car-sharing capital of North America."

This looks so cool! Love that Citroen is coming up with solutions for urban environments with sustainability in mind. Would love to go go-karting in these 😂

It looks great, except for the typo in the video layover text: [In 2020, what does accessibility "looks" like?]
Nicolas „Niq“ Bernadowitsch
@i_m_happy also „polluting vehicules are being banned“. wow! No one of citroen marketing noticed that? 😅

Amazing idea

Top speed it limited to 45 km/h. Why in gods name does no company create a sub 10k electric vehicle with reasonable speed. I don't want a Tesla or even an electric smart. I live in a big city. I'll drive 50km max each day. I want a tiny car that protects me from the weather, costs little and allows me to take a passenger and some shopping bags. That's it. Can't be that difficult. The Renault Twizy was a start in the right direction.

this is great!
