Claude, the AI assistant built by Anthropic, is now available on your iPhone. Get instant help on a range of tasks whenever inspiration strikes—from brainstorming and writing to coding and beyond—by taking or uploading a photo, or starting a chat.
Congratulations on launching; it's thrilling for Claude users eager to use it on iOS. When can Android users anticipate a mobile version of their operating system?
Hi everyone! I'm Scott, the product manager for Claude and part of the team that brought our new iOS app to life. We developed this app in response to overwhelming demand from our customers, and we're thrilled to make Claude even more accessible, no matter where you are. The iOS app offers the same intuitive experience you'll find on the web, seamlessly syncs your chats across devices, and is available for free to all users across all plans.
We can't wait to hear your feedback on the app and your ideas for how we can continue to improve and expand its features. Your input is invaluable in shaping the future of Claude!
@scott_white_sf Hi Scott! I can't rate Claude highly enough. I've been using it for a while now (desktop version); it's accelerated content production productivity, consistency, quality, etc, enormously for me. I'm feeding Claude detailed briefs and intel & Claude is getting better and better the more I'm working with it.
Pass on huge thanks to the Claude Team! If I was having another child, I think I'd name it Claude, I love it that much!!
My son is dyslexic, so when I have time, I'm going to train him how to use Claude. It's life-changing for kids like my son to have a tool like Claude in their back pocket. The only feedback I could scrape together for you is that it occasionally is down (desktop version), and Claude can't help me—I'm assuming because of the high demand.
R the IOS app (I'm based in Sydney, Australia), so a different app store from yours, but the feedback is that the branding is confusing. I'm not even sure I'm installing the right app - is this someone else using your brand to gain downloads, or is this Claude? I couldn't find it when searching, but then saw a tile with your branding on it, but when I clicked to install, the logo changed from yours to another. See attached screen grabs when I went through the install flow: https://drive.google.com/drive/f...
Let me know if it's available in the Australian app store, or not..? I'd love to try it out with my son (who is of course mobile-first!)
Congrats again!
I love claude. The only missing feature is web browsing - want to be able to dump a news article or PDF link and run queries against it. For now downloading is fine - but should we ever expect this as a feature similar to what ChatGPT does?
@elie_douna Yes please! Agree! That's one other minor constraint still - eg I want to brief Claude on old copy (product web page, old blog, old pitch deck copy etc) & then write a new brief & I need Claude to consider the copy deck, but when you paste too much in, Claude says no (how very dare Claude!!) & you can't paste a web URL in for Claude to scan, you have to do it paragraph by paragraph (which is probably going to get better quality output, but it takes a lot longer that way), when you're optimising large volumes of content at scale.
Hey PH! Alex from Anthropic here. Excited to launch our Claude iOS app, bringing the power of Claude to your fingertips, wherever you are.
I've been using the app daily for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer. Whether I'm traveling and need quick translation help, commuting and want to draft emails, or simply need a brainstorming partner on the go, Claude has been there to help me.
We can't wait for you to experience the app for yourself!
P.S. For a closer look at how I've been using the app, check out the examples I've shared in this thread: https://twitter.com/alexalbert__...
