Send and receive SMS directly in Slack with your team members. Use an existing phone number or bring your own. Works in threads and in channels, bridge the gap between internal and external communication for real-time & asynch communication.
Hi PH community! Since launching Clerk in January of 2020 we’ve re-written our entire app so that sending and receiving SMS all inside of Slack is easy-peasy.
📩 You can now send SMS 'campaigns' to an unlimited number of contacts!
⚙️ We have integrated with GSuite, GSheets & Hubspot to make contact management a piece of cake
😉 MMS - picture, video, and emojis are now all natively supported to send/receive
⚡ We have built-in automations that help your business respond to inquiries real-time / off-hours
💃 Our interface is much cleaner and easier to manage conversation/support tickets etc!
☎️ Bring your own number! We can import about 90% of phone numbers and manage
ONLY the SMS portion.
We built Clerk exclusively on top of Slack so you don't need a separate web-app or site to manage your SMS campaigns. Text ‘PH Special’ to 415-943-6084 for 50% off annual pricing on ANY of our plans (including unlimited!).

I think I know what you mean, but these sounds like the same option. "Use an existing phone number" is normally how "bring your own phone number" is described.
What are you using to receive the SMS your side? Can it be used to receive SMS 2FA messages? Most big 2FA users blacklist services like Twilio so that they can’t be used to (reliably) receive SMS 2FA. At the moment we have a home-grown system to receive messages on a real phone and forward them to Slack, but it would be nice to get rid of that.
@jimdabell thanks for the feedback! You are absolutely right, carriers such as Twilio are only VoIP based and will not work with 2FA.
Clerk does support non-voip phone numbers as well for verification codes as we have our own data center.
@iboshoer Thanks, I’ll check it out then. By the way, your billing page has a toggle button between monthly/yearly billing, but it’s impossible to tell which is selected. You have to toggle it to discover which is selected. There are some tips for solving this here: https://uxmovement.com/buttons/w...
I want to bring my existing number from RingCentral but your website isn't clear on whether I can keep the calling portion of my number and how that works? Can you kindly elaborate?
@dustin_durham good question. Yes, you can keep your existing RingCentral number. The voice portion will remain with RingCentral, while we activate only the SMS portion of the phone number.
This is super cool - can you explain a little more about what kinds of SMS you support e.g. do you have character limits. What kinds of images do you support?
