@aaronoleary While creating DeFi products is possible as a Chef I think you would find some of our real world usecases being developed today are and how they could potentially help convert you community into a digital economy.
We have had communities in different countries approach Fuse.io for custom mobile apps for their Nightclubs, sports stadiums, or large music events. Loyalty plays a massive role in the sales cycles of SMBs and Fuse can help do the "heavy lifting" for wallet development while each operator can focus on their customization, community, and business model.
WikiBank.eu needed a mobile payments app for their community in Seville, Spain. During Corona, the idea of cash handouts for charity was not plausible. Fuse helped the team quickly implement a solution that was in Spanish, connected to local merchants, and can easily be used by anyone. You can see a video here:

Have you ever thought about creating your own currency for your business but don’t know where to start? We’ve created a self-service platform that allows anyone to create a customized currency and a branded wallet on the Ethereum network in just a few simple steps.
It’s really easy to test! - What you will need?
You will need to connect a digital wallet.
When you click on “launch an economy”, you will see two options. The simplest option is to use the Google wallet. By clicking on this option, a wallet will be created automatically and then you will be guided through the process of creating your own custom branded cryptocurrency and digital wallet.
Why we created Fuse?
We believe that the current banking infrastructure is outdated and that open-source technology is the future of money. We also believe that the ability to build financial tools should be way more open and inclusive. We’re putting tools in the hands of innovators so that more people can take part in the process of transforming money and finance! 🌎

A great product with a wide range of implementation! Tried creating my own token, took me 4-5 minutes to issue a community via Metamask. Very pleased that it's intuitive and doesn't require any coding!
Question - can the wallet be customized for my business and how long would it take to develop? Looking forward to seeing new features in the studio! Great job Fuse, very forward-thinking solution!
@misha_dub Thanks for checking out the Studio! Actually yes, everything is fully open source and easily customized and deployed to the app stores. You can check out the Fuse wallet on the app store and also see examples on our homepage (fuse.io) of custom wallets built on the platform

This is super cool, and I love seeing more user-friendly abstractions build for the crypto ecosystem. One thing I'm curious about is what legal implications there are when spinning up your own custom currency with Fuse. Do you offer any guidance on how to think about risks or do you leave this problem to the end-user to figure out?
@tassilovongerlach Great question. Each operator has a different business model, region and fork of the app. Fuse helps the teams through the ideation, development, and implementation phase. While we cannot be legally held responsible for every pilot, we do our best to guide them in the right direction, introduce them to partners where relevant, as well as build infrastructure that allows products to work with regulators. For example, wallets are non-custodial meaning the Fuse platform and operator never takes control of any users funds.
Fuse is a game changer. It's been build from the ground up to allow any user (even those with limited technical knowledge) to issue a currency in seconds using the studio and provides all the building blocks to create your own whitelable wallet (the first Eth wallet built on flutter I may add). Fuse allows anyone to enjoy super fast and dependable mobile payments anywhere in the world with fees that are capped at just 1cent per transaction!. Do you manage a community or run your own business? If so I urge you give fuse a try. Breakaway from the existing expensive centralised payment solutions and ditch physical cash forever.

@mikey_ben_chetrit Hey Mikey, we currently have 10 live use-cases in 10 different countries around the world. A few notable ones are Wikibank which provides donations to impoverished communities in Seville, Spain. PayWise which provides access to mobile payments in the largely unbanked population of Trinidad & Tobago. GoodDollar also allows UBI (Universal Basic Income) for thousands of users powered by the Fuse Blockchain.

@omerhendelman Thanks! First, Fuse costs 1 cent per transaction which is much cheaper than Stripe or Visa, it's also gives tools for business operators to launch their own "Venmo". So in a nutshell, it's lower cost not only because of the fees, but also because it allows any business to create mobile digital experiences for their customers on mobile for almost free.
Really exciting product where technical crypto is abstracted, so users can easily create a complete functioning financial community for very low $ costs - think Wix for Wallets!
Everything is open source (Wallet, Studio,APIs etc), so remains free for all time, and transactions on the network are limited to a maximum fee of $0.01, although most will be off chain in the future, so even cheaper/no cost.
Fuse really is the doorway for anyone, in any country, to quickly, cheaply and effectively democratise finance and open opportunities for all.
Power your grassroot communities and help them defend themselves from being co-opted by powerful outside sources when they start showing signs of success..

Great concept and execution, this wouldn't be possible until now with the proper implementation of distributed ledger technology.
