Two years ago CloudRail had a simple JavaScript library which abstracted over Dropbox, Google and OneDrive. Today it is a real API integration solution. They have SDKs for Android, iOS, Java and Node.js and Unified APIs for Cloud Storage (with even more providers), Enterprise Cloud Storage, Social, Payment, SMS, Email and PoI with many more coming over the next months. Moreover they handle API changes. So if for example Dropbox changes their API, they do the hard work of updating the integration. The API towards the actual app always stays consistent and an automated system sends out notifications to affected developers.
Thanks @kwdinc for hunting us. We are all developers here at CloudRail and know the pain of connecting to APIs. They are all different, often poorly documented and change over time. We created CloudRail to give you a solution to easily consume all kinds of APIs to create more connected apps. Unified APIs for multiple categories let you integrate similar services via the exact same API. So how about integrating Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and Box into your app in less than a day? Moreover CloudRail keeps integrations automatically up-to-date. This means, if for example Facebook change their API, the interface towards your app will stay consistent. Important fact: CloudRail works P2P, so no data ever passes a CloudRail server. This means no additional SPOF and no privacy or performance issues.
And this is just the beginning. There are many more connected services coming soon. We’ve for example just added the Product Hunt API into our Unified Social Interface. Looking forward to hear your feedback!
Kevin also created a really nice interview about CloudRail: https://siftery.com/stories/conn...
@fxcutz Yes we would love to add it. The problem is, that Amazon only opened their API to selected partners so far. Even we weren't able to get an API key for testing purposes.
This sounds like a great service. It seems I'm always chasing API changes, so this sounds like a great way to keep up. Now I'll be able to concentrate on more feature integration.
I've been using your CloudRail Nodejs SDK for about a year now to implement a cloud photos and video website (www.mysite10.com). I am extremely pleased with it. Your SDK functioned as documented and provided me with exactly what I need to access multiple Cloud Services with the same interface. A very special thanks to Florian for his special skills with all my support needs. I highly recommend CloudRail.
