@hnshah Looks great! Hope it will be a hit with the startup community. I have personally observed that not having a clear focus can kill the startup dream of many. Hope CW could help with that.
Very nice of Cloudways to do this! I've heard the name here and there, but never really had time to look into it until now.
What are some of the main differentiators between the Cloudways startup program, and that of others, say the DigitalOcean one?
Also, based off a quick scan of the Cloudways site but could not find an answer to - does Cloudways own the DO/Linode etc account that controls the "server"?
Also, if a startup is not using PHP as its foundational language for a custom app or is not using something like WordPress or Drupal etc, is there nothing Cloudways does for those that are not using php?

Thanks for showing support.
There are major noticeable differences between Cloudways Startup Program and DO's Hatch. Despite of the common factors like Product credits and priority support the major PODs includes Startup Toolkit, 1 on 1 Mentorship and we accept bootstrap startups as well where most of the online startup programs are for Accelerator or VC backed startups only.
Cloudways provides you with DO or Linode server with the additional layer of Cloudways management. the ownership of the server space remains with the IaaS provider.
At this time, You can only hose websites which are in PHP. Also if you have the partial node.js project you can host it and use npm as package manager. we are planning more web stacks beside PHP so hopefully, you will get the news in near future.
@ruslannaz been doing it for a while with a Startup acceleration program of the Catalan government. I very much like it, and much more when you see some of the startups flourish (unluckily, not all do). Looking forward to do the same for the wider Cloudways community!
I am using Cloudways for my media startup for last one year without any issue. The team is very responsive and supportive. During the initial migration period, Owais and Aaqib have personally helped to have smoothest possible migration from old server to their server and that in, least possible time.
Though recently my startup got selected for a Business accelerator program and we received $5000 AWS credits for two years. So, we are planning to shift our site from Cloudways to AWS in next 2-3 weeks.
But with this new startup program, I believe I can surely apply for this. But since I still have to pay the hosting fee. I want to know if there is any possible way to use my own AWS account with Cloudways. ( Seemingly not possible.)

The purpose of our startup program is to support startups that are ready to grow, appreciate guidance from “been there, done that” kind of people and need technical infrastructure that scales with them.
Being a managed hosting company, we have seen many startups rise and fall. With this initiative we would like to make an impact, by enabling the enrolled startups to grow sustainably and by providing them with personalized mentorship to keep their focus on the things that matter.
In order to do so, we have teamed up with numerous design, development and marketing platforms and we are hopeful that this will give startups the technical edge they require to be a success.
We have designed it in a way that both, bootstrapped and funded startups, can enroll. They will get exclusive support through three packages: Build, Grow, and Expand, and then placed accordingly.
