Agreed! Takes a ton of discipline to remain focused / not compromise, but usually results in the best outcomes
@rrhoover Agreed - given what a small team it has been (doing so much) I think this was the right move vs shipping a buggy early Android version they can't properly support.
@rrhoover Agreed! We’ve had the same challenge at Speeko — lots of people underestimate the cost of not just expanding but supporting what is essentially a second product. Congrats to Clubhouse for moving relatively quickly on this!
Not an Android user here, just wanted to stop by to say what an incredible job @pdavison and @rohanseth have done scaling Clubhouse to where it is today.
Excited for more people to experience the magic of this platform.

I switched to Android a while ago. But I bought a new iPhone just to get on Clubhouse and I do not regret it.
Now I want a web UX.
In the meantime, I'm installing the Android app. I sure hope I can keep my same account!

I hope at least the team is (1.) Ashamed, and (2.) Disclosing active vs completely inactive account numbers to their investors, because it looks like 90% of the users that last longer than 1 week are running a scam with fresh blood weekly — otherwise, I think of the ~10M accounts, likely no more than 2% ever open the app at all after week 1 while the quality of content goes 📉📉📉
The founders showed they can weed out 🎯 content w/ XXX rooms, but refuse to with scams - now a 80% of the app.
Monetizing on misery vs club sub $/mo, replaced the highest value content literally anywhere w/ depressing hot wet trash.
Just nix all rooms the SEC would find distasteful & perpetrator accounts, same goes w/ the MLM & self help scams & scammers. Focus monetization @ monthly club memberships, as per room tips incent clickbait & fraud. Invite notable people to have worthwhile discussions again for growth.

I had no idea Clubhouse was in PH too. Opening to Android is a big step. Here is a little information about not first world countries: Using Apple means you are rich. Clubhouse was a platform that only rich people hang untill now. I am curious about how this will change the branding.
