Coda AI — Your new AI work assistant

Last year, as generative AI started to take off, we were immediately excited by the possibilities. While we were impressed by the ability for AI act as a writing assistant, we were more intrigued by the question: what could an AI work assistant do? So we began early explorations — first creating an integration with OpenAI, where users embraced the ability to do things like generate tweets or write summaries. It soon became clear that the ability to combine AI with Coda’s other building blocks — like tables that talk to each other, buttons that take action, and the ability to sync data from tools like Salesforce and Zoom — was incredibly powerful. So we got to work on a native integration. Today, I’m excited to announce Coda AI as your new AI work assistant. Been using Coda AI for over 2 months now and its changed how my team and I work While there are many ways we use it, one of the most impactful has been combining the power or Codas integrations with their AI work assistant. Specifically, we have an integration running with fireflies.ai that transcribes all of our virutal meetings, and automatically sync the full transcription to our Coda docs Coda AI then creates summaries, key items discussed, and action items based off the transcript We've completely stopped taking meeting notes and are able to be far more present in our meetings internally and with clients as AI fills the entire role of note-taker. LOVE IT!

I love Coda AI! It's the first writing surface that makes generative AI really *useful* (as opposed to just gimmicky) for work. At Hypernatural, we use Coda AI in tables to instantly generate cross-channel social media posts to accompany the short-form videos that we produce for customers. Coda AI is changing the game in my workflow as a project manager. Not only to help summarize things like notes, but to help with flows like assigning t-shirt sizes according to task effort that I have input automatically. Can't wait to see how folks use it next.

I tried Coda AI and I was blown away! As a software engineer, when I was writing a design doc, Coda AI stepped in and helped me breeze through the writing process, freeing up my mind to focus on the actual design thinking. And when I was planning my vacation, Coda AI came to the rescue once again. It handled all the research for me and neatly presented it using Coda's building blocks. Coda AI cuts out a bunch grunt work so that I can focus on the important things. One thing I really appreciate about Coda AI is how seamlessly it integrates with Coda's native features. It doesn't feel like some flashy add-on; it's a natural extension of the platform.

I've been loving Coda AI. There are a few different aha moments that I can recall throughout my life where a tool improved my life measurably since receiving it, to an extent where I wouldn't want to go back. The three that currently are strongest in my mind currently are: getting a smartphone, learning about Coda, and chatGPT.
