What will entice users to use this vs places like Quora?
@bentossell Yes, this is their new product. I found it interesting since the community is targeted and narrowed by categories in compare to Quora.
hi @bentossell ! CoFoundersLab Discuss is a service that we have been working on for the past 6 months which we are excited to launch publicly today.
Entrepreneurs on Discuss can help founders with problems that they have also experienced, and can directly collaborate with that user on CoFoundersLab. The collaboration part is the biggest differentiator with other sites such as Quora as CoFoundersLab is a network where founders can find cofounders, advisors, and early team members.
@cassandra_beaulieu on other sites folks can write a question and finding a helpful answer is like finding a bear in the ocean. Also we saw collaboration lacking. That got us thinking about CoFoundersLab Discuss :)
They are not honest about their free tier. If you start engaging, they lock your ability to search for others and force you to pay before they unlock it again. The website says "Upgrade to premium or wait until start of next month to regain access". But when next month comes... still no access. I reached out to support and they said I should sign up for the premium account, and provide them my billing info and they'll give "14 days free". Yea... no thanks!
Pros:Good way to meet potential partners in big cities
