Like many designers, I've been using Figma plugins daily, and they've become a part of my design process. So, I found myself wondering, how are these plugins built? Who creates them? What skills are required to develop one? What role could a designer play in building one? ✨ I learned that creating these tools required more than just a designer's eye - it needed a blend of front-end and back-end development skills, particularly in TypeScript. While I had a solid foundation in HTML and CSS, my back-end coding skills were a bit light. I used chatGPT as a great partner that bridged the gap between design and code, between my vision and execution. Together, we created this Figma plugin – 'Color Blender'. This tool simplifies the color selection process in design work, generating an array of color tints at a click, adding vibrancy and efficiency to your designs. 🎨
