Hi Product Hunters.
Thank you @kevin for the hunt!
I'm creating a lot of side projects recently and always struggling with color combinations. Especially for logos where the number of colors is usually limited. But that's the case also when you're creating a clean landing page with a combination of just two colors which then looks clean and professional.
So I've decided to create this small side project where I've curated the best looking two color combinations for you.
๐ It's Free
๐ช Easy copy to clipboard
๐จ Side by Side sample boxes with swapped colors
It always looked confusing to perfectly match the two-color combination. I hope as you progress further, you will have a comprehensive offering to serve us all.
OK, I'm, going to be "that guy" that makes trouble.
I ran the page through a web accessibility tool. The results are here: https://wave.webaim.org/report#/.... It reports 273 Low Contrast Errors. There are variously 3 to 4 instances per color pair sample when it has a contrast problem, so somewhere about 65-90 color pairs are not accepted by the tool. There appear to be about 162 pairs on the site in total, so a significant portion of them would not be good if you are interested in having a web page suitable for all audiences.
@new_user_1873203600 thank you for insights. I know that as Ive used Google Lighthouse to check it before it has been published. As I wrote in my first comment lot of combinations can be used for logos where the contrast issue is not a big problem.
Awesome color combinations, love them ๐ A lot of them remind me somehow on psychedelic rock posters. So I think they work well for artistic purposes and illustrations rather than projects that depend on accessibility ๐
