👋 Hey PH, I’m Antoine, maker of Coment. As a product manager, I often felt overwhelmed by requests from the communication department, the legal department… asking me to comment and approve all kinds of documents (contracts, catalogs, designs…). They sent dozens of versions via email or printed them and asked the whole team to review them one by one. In the end, some comments were always forgotten and we never knew which version was approved 🤯. The global process was chaotic. I decided to create Coment to end that pain and streamline that process. Why Slack? Slack was a no brainer for us because we thought we could build a strong user experience and make teams save a lot of time in their feedback and approval processes. What is Coment? Coment is a really simple Slack app to help your team review, comment and approve documents in Slack: 💌Just invite your team (or external users) for review or approval. 💬They can drop comments easily on the document. ✅Then, they can click on the review, approve or reject button. 📊Now you can know who read and approved your documents 😉 The back-and-forth process becomes simple and effective. It works with PDFs, images, Office documents, and more formats. We’ve got a ton of features in our roadmap, and we need your feedback to make it happen. What can we do for YOU? 😻PH community, enjoy our massive launch offer: 1 year for free on the PRO Plan (no credit card needed, of course 😉) Have a good day! Antoine

As someone that loves taking as much of their work into Slack as possible, this might just be a game-changer. Going to have tough competition from the likes of Figma (for design team commenting) and Google Docs but so far, it looks like this is the best tool for centralising it all :)
Antoine de Verneuil
Hey @johnathan_bell1, thank you, we hope that it will be a game-changer 😉. We believe Coment is complementary to Google Docs and Figma because it is useful at a different step of the content creation process. You can use it after you released a first version of your content and want to share it with other teammates (or guests, or clients, which you possibly don't want to invite in your figma). It also brings the approval workflow process, which is not available in these tools.

Love the idea! Can't wait for more efficient communications and flow!
Antoine de Verneuil
That's good if you like the idea @sametunes, now try it for yourself and give us some feedback! 😉
Matt Roxo
Good stuff! I think it would be ten times better if you targeted the creative community and had integration with Abstract or Sketch.
Antoine de Verneuil
Thanks for the idea @matt_roxo. Can you share with us how you would want it to work?
Matt Roxo
@adeverneuil There are a lot of agencies using Slack as their core communication client. Funneling creative review/approval into Slack would be beneficial to designer and stakeholders while streamlining efficiency. Major programs that are being widely used for collecting this feedback are Invision, Abstract and Zeplin. These are for the most part integrated into Sketch, Adobe XD or Figma. I'm wondering if Coment could eventually expand and capitalize on this. It's really hard for designers and developers to continuously go back and forth between programs. Would be great if we had a centralized place to do this and no better place that through chat itself.
