Hey PH! Excited to announce a huge addition to Commotion. We've added powerful mail merge tooling that lets you send personalized emails in bulk to contacts in a Notion database! Commotion's first feature was a form builder that saved responses to a Notion database. We found that a lot of our users made forms to manage things like their newsletter, communication, onboarding, etc. Essentially, they used forms to collect a bunch of emails and emailed everyone individually from there. We wanted to simplify the process after you collect someone's email. First, we added the feature where you can create a custom email to send to form submitters. For example, after someone signs up for your newsletter, automatically send them a "Welcome" email with a list of recent articles. Now, due to popular demand, we've pulled that feature out and beefed it up. Now you can filter out email addresses (such as not emailing people marked as unsubscribed in the database), populate emails with data (add the person's name to the email for example), and update the database after emails are sent (like mark someone who got an email as 'onboarded'). And you can send these email whenever you like, not just after a form is submitted. We hope you check us out! We're free to try for as long as you like with Pro features if you want to upgrade.
