Hey Everyone,
I'm a co-founder at Composer, an automated trading platform that allows you to build a portfolio of hedge fund-like strategies. We've been working with a select group of people from our waitlist, to get feedback and iterate and are thrilled to finally share it with you!
Why did we build Composer?
🏦 High-net-worth individuals have access to sophisticated trading strategies through hedge funds.
😖 A lack of automated tools for strategy construction and execution has prevented retail investors from having the same level of access.
⏳ To access strategies similar to those used by hedge funds, retail investors have to hack together Excel workbooks and manually enter trades into brokerages or code strategies in Python and hook up to brokerage APIs. Either way, it’s a tedious, time-consuming slog.
🌟 **Composer exists to make the strategies that top hedge funds use as easy to access as individual stocks.**
How does it work?
🧱 Instead of struggling to implement strategies yourself, Composer breaks the strategy creation process into building blocks that can be infinitely combined using our no-code visual editor. Once you create a strategy and invest in it, Composer will automatically execute trades on your behalf based on the strategy's logic.

This is so so great. I am an immediate customer and advocate.
This is such a lacking tool in retail trading ecosystem:
- I have some preferences on allocation beyond just indexes
- I'd like to not have to think about rebalancing
- I'd like to not work with an advisor
Generic robo-advising doesn't work. Generic indices don't work.

@justinbleuel You hit the nail on the head! Adding logic to your investments allows you to do more with your money than if you just bought ETFs. Not having to worry about rebalancing is an added benefit.

@charleyma Great question! Once you've gone ahead and set your portfolio, Composer aggregates all trades and executes them during a fixed trading window between 3:45-4pm ET on the days the market is open.
Your portfolio will automatically update after the orders have been executed.
As an example, if you create a symphony with a daily trading frequency and invest in it, Composer will automatically execute trades in your linked brokerage to follow the symphony's logic every market day during the trading period.
Composer can be a powerful wealth democratizer. The visual editor is a huge value add to my investing thought process. It would be enough if it made my automated trades. What stands out is that Composer makes it easy to learn along the way. It's fun.
