Hello Product hunt! 👋 Mito is a new type of forum/social network. It behaves in a dynamic way, allows users to easily create anonymous identities, uses cryptocurrency and puts privacy first. I originally made mito for an engaging discussion experience that fights bias! I also realised that by having a community start off small as its basis could allow for more social cohesion among the group. I feel the world needs a platform that supports and nurtures divergent thoughts and ideas, I hope this could be a step in the right direction! ~How it works!~ ◉ Create cells (groups) that are limited in duration and size. ◉ If a cell is at full capacity at the end of its duration it splits evenly into two larger groups allowing for the diversity of discussion and users. If the cell is not full it self-destructs. ◎◎◎ A question answered at the end of a cells duration can influence which new group a person is placed inside of. ◎◎◎ NLP is being developed to determine which new group to choose for users. ◉ Cells currently have custom settings such as: ◎◎◎ require people joining a cell to use an anonymous identity, a normal identity or allow both identity types to join a cell. ◎◎◎ set a question to be asked when a cell is split, answers influnce which new cell users are placed in. ◎◎◎ Ensure that people entering a cell have a minimum points balance by checking the blockchain. ◉ When a cell splits enough times, it will never end or split again and gains the ability to hold sub groups within itself! ◉ Instantly create unlimited anonymous identities based on your secret crypto-passcode(seed) - no more setting up multiple accounts! As Mito has limited likes it uses the finite nature of cryptocurrencies. The life currency of Mito is called chromosome(CHX) and is used in the creation of groups and liking/disliking content. Outside of likes holding real value, Mito uses cryptocurrency for enabling and validating anonymity of users and gauging the popularity of a group by amalgamating the balances found in cryptocurrency addresses of users in a group. In the future more cryptocurrencies will be added to mito. By using a crypto people can very securely be anonymous and still receive value for their content.
