Passwordless auth is the future! Cotter is super neat. I asked for WebAuth and they rolled it out faster than I could keep up - love how quickly you all work. Congrats on the launch!

Hi, congratz on the launch! Checked out your website, but coudn't figure out how magic links work. How is it different from say OAuth with Google? Is it purely granting access based on IP addresses? Will it work with the VPN? Thanks, would consider using it on my next project.
@vladyslav_mokrousov Hi Vladyslav! The concept is similar to OAuth with Google, we are acting as Google in this case where we would be the one responsible for authenticating the user.
How it works is when the user entered their email in Cotter’s form that you embed in your site, we will send a magic link to their email. When they click the link, we can validate the link and return to your site with a response that the authentication is successful.
You can try it by signing up to https://dev.cotter.app/signin (our developer dashboard) and see magic link in action. It has nothing to do with your IP address so it won’t be affected by VPN.
