Big big fan of Courier! The first time I heard about it I had my “oh of course that’s how we should be handling notifications” moment.
The product/API experience is extremely well crafted and followed up by insanely engaged and humane support.
This team has been building quality features at a blistering clip, and has helped us eliminate thousands of lines of wonky code and templates, and our customers notifications are more professional than ever.
So like I said, big fan :)
Hello Product Hunt!
The rest of the Courier team and I have been building an exciting new way to design, send, and monitor all of your app's user notifications. As you may have heard in my video above, we understand that notifications are difficult to get right. So much so that most of us aren't excited about receiving many of them.
Today, we are proud to launch our single API to manage all of your messaging APIs and a clever, easy to use design studio. Courier's UI unites product and engineering to have power over their notifications strategy.
Wuphf was one of The Office's funniest bits many years ago, but was also a surprisingly relevant idea. We don't want to miss important notifications, so it triggers alerts to your cell phone, home phone, email, Facebook, Twitter, and fax. Being plugged into every provider is the correct next step, but where they got it jokingly wrong was sending it to every provider at the same time. Our platform ensures notifications are sent through the right channel at the right time, minimizing distracting and annoying notifications.
I'm sure some of you caught this last week.

World famous, this team would have had a much easier time testing in Courier's test environment, before pushing to production!
We would love to hear what you think, and encourage you to check out all of our API endpoints and Design Studio. Those are where the dreams come true.

@troygoode Congratulations on the launch!
I've been tracking the problem of 'Notification Pollution' on my problem validation platform for a while now - https://needgap.com/problems/59-... .
You're welcomed to explain how Courier solves that problem there, So those who need it can find it easily.
@heavyinfo Abishek, we enable app developers to centralize their notifications and provide a robust and customizable preferences suite for their users so that their notifications don't suck.
@micah_zayner Good to know Micah, You're welcomed to explain how you enable developers to build products with notifications which don't suck in the aforementioned needgap thread.
At Vaporware, we're huge fans of Courier. We're constantly developing MVPs and iterating quickly, and a full-fledged Notification system where developers just send data events (or better yet, just use segment events) and product managers can quickly iterate on design and content for email and SMS channels has been huge. Doing all of that in 30 minutes takes us from 0 to hero for our startups.
Better yet? B2B SaaS companies love it since we can do white-labeling through their branding, complex batching or weekly digests through their automations, and even in-app notifications/preference management which took weeks to build from scratch.
Oh, and it scales. Swap in providers at-will to improve deliverability or get better pricing. It's 100% in our toolbox and isn't going away any time soon. This is a "duh" product for any development team.
We ( Lattice ) were one of Courier's first customers and we've loved it from day 0.
Before Courier we were spending tons of time integrating with every delivery platform every-time a customer requested a new connection from us. But now it's as easy as just a new API call. So so excited about this launch, huge congratz to the Courier team!
We've loved working with Lattice over the past couple of years @ekosz1! When we first started Courier I was so scared nobody would want what we were building – then connected and I saw the pain your team was running into it and was a huge wind in our sails. ❤️
We partnered with Courier close to a year ago now and have been completely blown away by the stability of their offering, the commitment to their customer, and the speed at which they are developing the product. It's very clear that the customer voice is their first priority. I have nothing but great things to say about their team and their product.
Very proud of the work @troygoode and the team have done to date and very much looking forward to seeing where they invest in the future!
Wow this is awesome. I really, really appreciate this @tylermdavis. You guys have really pushed us on a few fronts and I'm so grateful that you gave us the opportunity to deliver and make Courier a better product for your team and your customers!
Congrats on the launch! We are built on top of multiple ESPs, so definitely see the value in this! Will take a look at pricing and decide if it makes sense for us.
The ESPN app (at least on Android) is surprisingly terrible at notifications. They don't offer a way to customize at a deeper level so it's basically all or nothing when it comes to getting alerts for breaking news or your favorite teams.
Courier has been a game-changer for us. Incredible product with a team full of titans. Being a B2B Marketplace, emails and notifications are what drive user action on our platform. Courier is super easy to use and has saved us more time than we'll ever know. Highly recommend! Courier to the moon! 🚀
A long-time user of Courier. Huge fan of the product. Courier makes it so easy to make great-looking notifications that can be delivered through any channel.
Has saved our eng team 100+ hours of engineering work to date.
Congrats @troygoode!
