Proud to be part of this team and thank you Product Hunters for the support! 💜 Explaining what we do has never been easy, but we hope this resonates with some of you and becomes useful when building a better notification experience for your users gets on your roadmap. We're excited about all the feedback so we can build out our own roadmap.

So excited to share this with all of you! Courier Inbox solves a problem that so many engineers experience, building that little list of notifications that you probably didn't think about until you were getting so close to launching your app. Inbox is designed in a way that makes it super easy to drop in a view and get a notification inbox working in minutes, and yet it's flexible enough to build any custom UI/UX you can think of with it! Combine Inbox with Courier's push notification support and you have the full setup needed to reengage your users on mobile and web. It only takes a few minutes to try out the Inbox SDKs, and any feedback is fantastic! Thank you ❤️

And to all the React Native and Flutter fans out there, we hear you and support is coming for you too!

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 We learned so much from our first launch two years ago and are so excited to be back with our latest offering. Brace yourselves for a tale about our latest creation — a full-featured notification inbox that you can simply drop into your web and mobile apps and perfectly customize to match your UX. Here’s the scenario we wanted to solve for: Your product team uncovered that application engagement needs to be much much higher. They spec out a notification center inbox for your app, complete with integrated push notifications. The PRD spares no expense, pulling from the very best web and mobile examples out there. They want it to handle everything— product announcements, alerts when usage thresholds are exceeded, billing notifications, growth marketing-related messages when users hit lifecycle events. Everything. So…dilemma time. Does the entire engineering team stop what they’re doing for 6 months to make this happen? Do you spend endless meetings scoping it down until it’s a shell of its original spec, let alone competitive? That’s where we come in. With Courier’s notification platform, developers get access to a complete best-in-class inbox that can drop right into your web and mobile apps. We wanted to offer flexible building blocks that make creating the exact notification system and experience much simpler through pre-built UI components and a powerful notifications API. Now, this notification center project goes from 6+ months to 6 lines of code. With our Inbox SDKs for web, Android, and iOS, integrating a top-notch notification center becomes a breeze. You can reach your users and bring them back into your app like never before. To highlight a few of the features…. First off, Inbox is just one way to reach your users with Courier. A notification to the inbox can also hit email, Slack, SMS, Whatsapp—any channel; with loads of possibilities to automate the logic and delivery sequencing in just the right way. Next, there are multiple ways to trigger these notifications. It can be via API or an event from your customer data platform like Segment or even a manual one-time send from our web UI. The inbox also includes mobile push and web pop-up "toast" notifications so you can bring users back to your app even when it’s not open. And don't worry about spamming users; we support advanced send logic like throttling, batching, and even digesting of notifications based on user preferences. Best of all: our inbox is either drop-in with full customizability or you can go rogue and build your own, using Courier as a headless backend. If this sounds interesting, the best place to start is our docs: https://bit.ly/3Xby7Y8 We also couldn’t help ourselves and put together a fun demo app about puppies that we wrote about: https://bit.ly/3p4lKjV And because we want everyone to experience Courier, we’ve made it free to use for up to 10,000 notifications per month. Any and all of your feedback helps us be better, so please share your thoughts with us. It motivates us to get up each and every morning and continue on this journey of building the best notifications platform around! 🚀

Courier Inbox is a great way to drop-in a modern application inbox, but it's also fully customizable. How customizable?? It's so customizable, that @killamikemilla and I were able to built Puppygram, an Instagram clone that displays nothing but pictures of cute puppies. We wrote-up a blog post which includes screen shots and links to the full source code, so go check it out! https://www.courier.com/blog/int...

This is really cool. I've tried Courier out but haven't had a chance to use it yet. Why build out notifications yourself instead of your core product!?
Daniel Yerelian
Congrats! I love the mission of helping more products and tools better communicate and connect with their users!
Troy Goode
Thanks @dyerelian! Inbox is one more (important) step toward delivering on that mission, and we have a lot more to come.

Congratulations to the Courier team on this incredible launch! The new Inbox product makes Courier even more of a no-brainer to maximize engagement with users without wasting time building all of this in-house.

Looks very interesting and valuable! Congrats @troygoode and team. We've been using Courier since it's early days at LTSE and are big fans. Your team's level of support and responsiveness is very impressive.
Denis Tatar
Congrats to the team on this launch! Love the simplicity behind this and the use cases described. Kudos to the team for making an awesome and informative video too. I'm excited to be using Courier Inbox this semester for a class project!
Donnie Wang
Appreciate the support @denisltatar! Please share that project when you build it. Happy to help in any way possible.

Thanks @denisltatar !!
Grace Hur
Courier user here! So much love for this product and this team. As a non-technical PM, one of my favorite features is being able to see notification logs without bothering an engineer. This makes debugging much easier.
Troy Goode
Hey @gracehur! I really appreciate you dropping by and for the kinds words!

Congrats on the launch Troy!
Gabriel Nori
Congratulations on the amazing launch, team! The hard work and dedication are evident in this one-of-a-kind solution that simplifies creating a customized notification system. I am so impressed with the pre-built UI components and powerful notifications API. I would love to hear more about the use cases for the Inbox SDKs. What industries have you seen the most success with so far? Is there a certain type of messaging or notification that has shown to be the most effective in increasing engagement? Your advanced send logic and full customizability are really cool. Keep up the incredible work! 🎉🚀👏
Troy Goode
Hey thanks @gabriel_nori! Really appreciate it. We've seen broad adoption across a number of industries but for Inbox we've seen an especially strong fit for products like fintech, HR tech, compliance tech. A great use case for Inbox is any kind of approval or other action that you need a user to take – something that you want to make sure is still surfaced to the user even if they miss or forget about the notification they received to their device.
