Great idea! Do you also have any type of user input, especially on the bars/restaurants type of things?
My experience is that the reality is often different than the official version.

Covid Controls is a Covid-19 dashboard geared towards travelers.
In this new version, you will get answers to:
- Which countries I am allowed to travel to?
- Do I need to quarantine on arrival?
- Is a Covid-19 test required?
- Are there any other requirements such as insurance, forms, declaration?
- What is the mask policy at the destination?
- Is there a lockdown? Which services are open/closed?
- Are tourist attractions open?
- Are bars, restaurants, shopping open?
- How many people are allowed to gather for events?
- What is the Covid-19 trend? Is it safe to travel?

@harry_yu1 We manually fact check data several times a day, to see if regulations have changed or not. Secondly we also see when the official source was last updated and replace it if it was stale.
Very nice idea. I am surprised that travel agencies were not proactive enough to build such maps in summer...
but how often do you refresh the data? Things change from day to day, and from what I briefly checked - the map seems to be outdated for some countries. So I don't see that one could rely on this map when booking a trip
@peter_lukac Hi Peter, Thanks for your feedback! You are right origin-specific restrictions are changing very often. We are monitoring them 24X7 and update them several times a day. We are working towards improving the accuracy even more, but for the time being to bring more transparency we provide:
- upto 5 trusted/official sources for every destination that we also update regularly
- detailed travel regulations for every country published by their Dept of Tourism or other relevant govt. agency.
- 3 last updated timestamps for entry restrictions travel regulations/lockdown measures and the Covid-19 data, so users know how fresh the data is.
IT was really nice idea. I like that. I surprised that travel agencies were not proactive enough to build such maps in summer.
