Hi all!
7 months ago we were hunted with Coworkies (https://www.producthunt.com/post...). Today we are launching on Product Hunt something new, Coworkies Jobs, a new way to post and find great work opportunities based in coworking spaces.
Last year we visited 106 coworking spaces in 12 cities(all stories here: http://blog.coworkies.com) to understand coworking and what are the trends of the workspaces of tomorrow. Based on that we wanted out product to serve three groups:
Coworking spaces by helping them get more embers
Freelancers & Startups helping them in the search of work or a team-mate
Coworkers & Job seekers - Help everyone work in a better place with a better community
There are multiple opinions why being in a coworking space is good, and few why it is not as productive. Yet, when done right coworking spaces are where people find community and belonging and it is not yet another office.
As this is our first day with Coworkies Jobs, and to say thank you to the community, please send us an email at hi@coworkies.com to add your job offer today at no cost!
Happy to get everyone's feedback!
@idmtr@coworkies I really like the new look and jobs board! Any plans to include more US co-working spaces? What would you say is the coolest co-working space you've seen in Europe?
@johann_jenson Hey Johann thanks for checking the new jobs board feature! We are shortly adding jobs from US starting with NYC & SF and everyone else + building a FREE feature that all spaces can have for their own pages.
About Europe, there are so many that i just have to say Berlin, London, Barcelona & Helsinki are the cities that have the most variety in them. Like for example Noize Fabrik in Berlin, that is a music focused coworking space with fully equipped recording room. For anyone who is interested our blog has more than 100 stories of the places and people we have met while traveling to research. Last moth we started a newsletter/medium publication to sumup all we have seen while traveling, check here: https://medium.com/coworking-peo...
Coworkies has launched a pretty nice job board to post and look for jobs based out at coworking spaces.
The team has a great vision of the future of work and work spaces and this is a great way to promote it.
If anyone is interested I suggest reaching out to them ;)
@chrischinch Thanks Chris! Have did you find your space yet? Our intern Ema is now at ImpactHub Berlin, you should make it to one of the events there and check out the space. Very cool vibe + nice lunch places around it :)
Coworkies Job redefines the way you hire people browsing through a global network of coworking spaces acting as local and reliable networks of people to find the best candidate.
@guillaume_hermet Yeha locality has a lot to do with what we tare doing. Being "Glocal" starts to have more and more meaning these days. As everyone is promoting remote work, it actually can happen inside of a city too:) Further, to work in a meaningful environment surrounded by a trusted and like-minded community is something people look for and cherish way beyond the pay-check. At least of what we have seen while meeting people on our travels.
This one caught my eye! Looks pretty cool and a nice idea. Why don't you use Google Places API to populate the cities while I'm typing it?
Also, isn't a string match for cities a bit expensive on your backend? Defined cities and aliases would be much helpful and would look great on your product.
Thanks everyone for the good words. We are constantly improving our products, so stay tuned for more updates on Coworkies and Coworkies Jobs. And also do not forget to keep sending us your feedback.
This is an amazing initiative! Co-working spaces are the offices of the 21st century and Coworkies are building the infrastructure necessary to ensure the success of everyday collaborations. I really like the way the platform has expanded and I can't wait to see what it grows into. Great stuff, boys and girls, keep up the excellent work!
