Get a feed of high-quality, developer-related content, personalized to your interests! Stay up-to-date in one place with zero effort! Connect with like-minded devs by discussing articles directly on the article itself via our new Companion Widget!
I have been using daily.dev (almost) every day for over two years now, and not only has it helped me expand my knowledge on topics I already knew about, but also helped me learn about new topics as well. Personally I have set a goal to read at least 3 articles a day.
And to please my daily.dev overlords @nimrodkramer@idoshamun:
Donβt forget to add the GitHub Action for daily.dev, that way you can show off your DevCard on your GitHub profile.

Hello world to all of the developers out here on Product Hunt π
Today we are launching on Product Hunt with some game-changing features that will help supercharge the way you stay up-to-date as a developer!
Our team has worked hard on making it even easier for our 160K+ (and rapidly growing) developer community to stay up-to-date with some amazing new features we are sure you will love π
Letβs dive in!
Whatβs new?
---
1. The brand-new Companion Widget enables you to discuss, upvote, and bookmark any article directly on the article itself! No more switching tabs to share your thoughts. daily.dev lets you join the conversation anywhere, even on sites without a built-in comment section! We believe this feature will open up more in-depth and meaningful discussions between developers, adding extra value to the global developers community.
2. Community picks allow developers to share valuable and entertaining links directly to the daily.dev feed! This is a huge step forward as it allows you to share any useful resource with the community, helping other devs level up their knowledge!
3. AI-generated TLDR gives you a quick summary of every article before you go on to spend your precious time reading through the whole thing!
First time hearing about daily.dev?
---
daily.dev is where developers grow together. We provide a feed with all the content you need as a developer.
Some of the features that the community loves most are:
* 600+ sources in one feed - There are 100s of dev-related publications out there, we bring them together into a single feed!
* Save time - We believe that developers need an efficient way to discover high-quality content, so we only add top-rated articles to your feed (and filter out the rest!)
* Personalize your feed - You choose what to read (such as JS / React / DevOps, etc.). Our tagging system will then show you articles that match your interests!
* Bonus - itβs 100% free and open-source π
Our team is looking forward to hearing your thoughts, so feel free to share your review below!
Congrats on the launch.
Loved the trailer on the landing page.
Did you guys do it in-house or did you work with someone to create it?
Looking for help with a short video as well and if you didn't create it in-house, would love to learn about the agency that did it for you.
Thank you :)
@salil_sethi An agency did it for us who are very talented, if you want to drop me a DM on Twitter tomorrow I will get the details for you if you want.
My handle is @GrahamTheDev on Twitter.
Thanks so much for supporting out launch! π
I am a long-time user of daily.dev, it has been my browser home page for quite a while. I like that it gives me stories and topics of interest after I trained it using the simple tag system. Always fresh and exciting reads.
@compileswift Thanks so much Peter! The tagging system certainly is one of the best features we have, but it is like the unsung hero, so thanks for pointing it out!
Is there anything we could add or improve to make your experience even better? π
@grahamritchie I don't think there is anything I'd want to change at this time. It serves my need to be informed and learn. The recent addition of the browser 'quick tools' as I call them, has helped me share my comments and stories with other folks without leaving the page.
@compileswift Yeah, we call it "the Companion", but I like the name "quick tools" π!
Honestly when I saw the demo for the first time I was blown away and I am glad someone else loves that feature as much as I do!
Glad to see we cover all the bases for now, but if you ever think of something you would like to see, just reach out to us!
Once again thanks for the support today and thanks for the feedback ππ
Long time user here.
I can't recommend daily.dev enough!
It's one of my key resources for all dev news, plus, the team is delightful and friendly π
Awesome new features!
Congrats on the launch @nimrodkramer@idoshamun@tsahi_matsliah! π
Keep bringing it! πͺπ½
@yoav_ganbar your comment made me smile :) Thank you! If you could ask us to build one feature that would literally make you say "OMG! that's so awesome they finally built it!" - what would that feature be?
@nimrodkramer I think the killer feature you could add is smart bookmarks. What I mean by this is the ability to bookmark and have articles auto-tagged and sorted for you by topics.
I still haven't found a tool that is good enough to curate all my dev resources. Maybe you could add an import from other services (Pocket, Refind, and whatnot) into the app.
@alberto_jaramillo_muller Super happy to know that daily.dev is helpful :) We should consider sending cookies to everyone who's using daily.dev with their morning cup of coffee lol (we can even call it cookies.dev) π
Tried it without signing up on the web, worked well. Was hooked. Signed up with Safari + Github. It broke. Tried Chrome + Github it broke. Can't finish signing up two times in different browsers.
Plan on retrying it in 2 weeks, but I guess until then I already forget this exists. Just shows me again how crucial it is to get the sign-up 110% working.
