Dapphub is a user-friendly browser designed for safe and easy access to the decentralized web. With just 3 clicks, you can explore apps, manage your digital wallets, and protect your privacy. Simple, secure, and ready for the future of the internet.
As the Founder and CEO of Dapphub, I'm excited to share this project with the Product Hunt community. We built Dapphub to be more than just a browser – it's a tool to empower users in the decentralized web. We've focused on creating a seamless, secure experience that makes it easy for anyone to get started with Onchain technology. I'd love to hear your feedback and answer any questions you have!
This looks intriguing, @travis44! What kind of security features have you implemented in Dapphub to protect users while they explore the decentralized web? Is it suitable for Web3 beginners?
Congrats on the launch, @travis44! Dapphub sounds like a game changer for those looking to dive into the decentralized web. The emphasis on security and user-friendliness is crucial in this space. Excited to see how it empowers more users to embrace on-chain technology. Looking forward to exploring the features! This definitely deserves some upvotes! 🚀
Congratulations on the launch, @travis44! Dapphub sounds like a game-changer for anyone wanting to dive into the decentralized web. The user-friendly approach with just 3 clicks is impressive, making it accessible even for those new to Onchain technology. I'm really looking forward to exploring its features. It’s great to see a product that prioritizes user security and privacy. Any plans for future enhancements or partnerships within the DApp ecosystem? Excited to see where Dapphub goes from here! Upvoted!
Hey @zanereed596! If by dApp ecosystem you mean the Ethereum L1 and L2 ecosystems yes! We are going to be announcing new partnerships and App store listings for the rest of Q3 and entirety of Q4. If you have any onchain apps you would like Dapphub to list or partner with please let us know here or on twitter and we can get in contact with the team to make it happen.
Hey @travis44, this is fantastic! A browser for the decentralized web that allows seamless navigation is amazing! Keep up the great work and continue pushing forward!
I'm not sold on this browser, it feels like another gimmick joining the decentralized bandwagon, plus sure it's user-friendly but what about real privacy concerns, isn't it just another shiny interface trying to be cool but lacking depth, good luck but skeptical🧐
Hey @codecrafted it's always good to be skeptical especially in this industry where bad actors have been prominent in the past.
Dapphub as a browser is built with security in mind first. With over $2 billion being scammed last bull run it only makes sense for us to create an experience where all a user needs is an email, we store the secret recovery keys/phrases on the local desktop where it never leaves your device. The private browser when an app is launched is non-chromium instance unlike most other browsers as search engines.
As far as decentralization, we've partnered with pretty great companies to offer unique services and features directly in our browser, Think google storage, photos and Gmail in your google chrome except all the privacy, ads, and big tech concerns of centralized companies.
Hope this paints the picture of where we are headed these next months and 1-2 years with the internet.
Hey Travis, I think the idea of a browser for the decentralized web is cool, but I'm a bit skeptical about the safety aspect, are there any specific measures you've taken to prevent breaches and scams, also would it be too confusing for someone who's never used Web3 before or is it actually beginner-friendly?
Hey @abctechleader, as the Founder, our mission is to onboard the next millions of new comers to web3 with an easy & secure user experience. Security was built first in-mind by us creating our browser instance that only connects to verified dApps (apps that use blockchain). Our App store not only acts as an easy way for new comers to web3 to explore onchain apps across different sectors (like gaming, music, art, B2B, finance, etc) but also a safe haven for verified application to be used by the masses. Last but not least, our built-browser wallet is attached to your email and saved on your desktop. Your wallet and recovery keys/phrases NEVER leave your device and when you launch an app in the browser the built-in wallet ready with a click a button.
Many more security features coming soon!
Do we really need another browser when there are tons already out there, not sure if the decentralized web thing is enough to make people switch, what about speed and user experience, any thoughts there Travis
Hey @afdinnovator, great market insight.
The problems stopping mass adoption of onchain (blockchain, web3, crypto) technology is bad user experience, constant pay-walls, and lack of scam detection. With Dapphub, we built a browser first onchain UX (most crypto ui you see are wallet-first). This gives us the advantage of cutting the time it takes for a new comer to get started onchain from 7-10 steps down to 3!
1. Sign up/Log in with en email.
2. Search a type of app you wan to use (Art, Gaming, Music, Finance, B2B Services, etc)
3. Launch app in a secure local instance
0 Crypto involved.
0 Downloads of tons of chrome extensions for wallets.
0 Need for searching and verifying the validity of a app.
Dapphub is designed to allow anyone explore USEFUL and SAFE applications that use onchain technology regardless of industry or previous knowledge of this technology.
Thank you to everyone who's checked out and downloaded Dapphub so far! The support and feedback is continually inspiring us to build a future where onchain technology is accessibility and safe everywhere!
Hey @travis44 this is really cool man! A browser for the decentralized web that’ll let you seamlessly navigate it is awesome! Keep it up and push forward!
It's really awesome Travis! Decentralized fellows will love this not only cause the tech behind but also cause it looks pretty cool. Glad to see you facing this and wish you all the best on this impressive launch
Looks like another browser but with a web3 twist, kinda skeptical about these "3 clicks" claims tho, hope it’s more than just a flashy UI with empty promises, guess time will tell how secure and simple it really is, best of luck i guess 😏
