Our 20,000+ users confirmed the need for an easier Data Analytics platform! One-click Data Cleaning, Suggested Analysis, Automated Insights, Chat with an AI buddy, easy sharing, and customization options! Yes, this is for real! 😱 Hi PH fam ✋ Thanks to your continuous support during our BETA launch a year ago, and now with DataSquirrel 2.0 🧡 Back then, our goal was to make life easier for every manager trying to make sense of their data. That mission remains unchanged. When you send your data, you don’t care about the format or how clean and organized it is. You expect us to recognize it, read it well, clean it if necessary, and present key analysis and insights. Or help with exploration. Basically, get shit done! 😅 With DataSquirrel 2.0, we’ve launched: 📊 Connect Google Sheets or any third-party system (Shopify, Xero, Hubspot, and thousands more), in addition to the existing CSV and XLS file uploads. 🔗 Combine two or more datasets (no more =VLOOKUP). 🧹 Automatically detect dirty data and suggest cleaning actions. 🔍 Suggested Analysis that provides different views of your data (stuff you may not have even thought of). 📈 Automated Insights that help discover patterns in your data. 🛠️ Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) using an easy Charting UI, breaking down data, viewing hotspots using heatmaps, and much more. 🎨 Insane level of customization including easy date grouping, segmenting, stacking, grouping numbers into ranges/intervals, viewing as % instead of #, changing color themes, adding gradients, and more. 🐿️ Chat with your AI data buddy, Squirby, and ask anything about your data or have her help you with a task on your project. 📅 Set automated updates for your connected data to keep your KPIs up-to-date. 📥 Download or share charts, interactive dashboards, and PPT, PDF reports. That's a massive list for sure. And yes, it is as powerful as it sounds 💪 About Data Security with LLMs: Incidents worldwide have shown the unknown grey zone of Data Security with LLM’s like ChatGPT. Uploading your data to any AI wrapper company makes your data public to 1 or more big AI companies. At DataSquirrel we keep your data secure and never upload raw data to any LLM. We use LLMs for guidance for analysis and insights based on obfuscated statistical data. All of DataSquirrel's agents, including AI-assisted ones, are fully secure. You can also choose to anonymize sensitive data like names, payment information, and personal details before even having it processed by DataSquirrel. So, in a nutshell (🐿️ pun intended), upload/connect your data and let us do the rest. We’ll read it well, clean and standardize it, and run automated analysis and insights for you. Set auto-updates to keep your metrics up-to-date, share with someone, customize it as you wish. Basically, have full control over your data! @martijn_moret and I would ❤️ for you to sign up to DataSquirrel, take her for a spin, provide us with feedback, and send happy energy and support our way 🫶

Super excited about the no-more VLOOKUP feature! 😂 , As a nontech business manager previously at my job, I can completely relate to it lol Can you elaborate on how combining datasets in DataSquirrel works? Does it handle different data formats seamlessly?
Aakriti Mahajan
@sankeerth_julapally The fact that your comment has received an incredible number of upvotes makes me believe we hit the right nerve with =VLOOKUP 😀 DataSquirrel supports CSV, XLS, Google Sheets, and third-party data via API. Combining data from two or more different files in any of these formats is supported. Using a simple UI, you can choose to append rows or columns or update existing ones. Once you make these choices from the drop-down, DataSquirrel handles all the processing and combines your data. All of your metrics are updated, and you can even download the combined data file.
Benjamin Sloutsky
I love your guys UI. I’m just curious what separates you from the other data analytics platforms? Congrats on the launch!
Martijn Moret
@benjamin_sloutsky Thank you Benjamin! The reason we started DataSquirrel.ai is: (1) that the "usual suspects" are not built for non-tech (business) managers and always need some kind of (data-)engineer to set it up. Looking at existing dashboards is for everyone, but setting up or changing it is something completely different. The most used button in Tableau or Power BI is.... download as Excel/CSV. (2) The whole process to get something out of some raw data is time-consuming. Even for the advanced analysts like ourselves, dealing with different data (60% is ad-hoc non-integrated data, usually ending up in your mailbox in Excel or CSV format!) is time-consuming. Many data analysts/engineers are using DataSquirrel.ai for a quick EDA and initial dashboard-ing to support business users in shaping requirements or simply answering questions.

Hi Aakriti, DataSquirrel 2.0 sounds like a game-changer for data analytics! The ability to combine datasets and auto-clean is impressive. How has the feedback been from users integrating with third-party systems like Shopify and Hubspot?
Martijn Moret
@alex_dulub Since the API development we have been working with a small group of Shopify users and users of various CRMs. The fact that we are splitting the ingestion of data and a trigger for recalculation all stats, charts and insights makes the solution very cost effective and seemingly fast (we do not recalculate only at the last minute). Based on feedback we are working on 3rd party channel notifications when a new dashboard/report is available, as well as extending the set of statistical testing and pattern recognition we put the data through. Our unique combination of hard statistics, the 'real world' knowledge brought forward by AI, and the fact that business users finally can play with the data set themselves, already leads to new discoveries within the user's business lines.

As the whole world is embracing AI technology with almost miracles in creating textual content and images, there are also many limitations to real business use of ChatGPT alike tools or solutions that are just wrappers around Large Language Models. Data security, LLM reasoning and hallucinations (or bullshit) are the 3 main concerns. The quality of the answers of ChatGPT mainly depends on the quality of the question, as the LLM reasoning is fairly limited. DataSquirrel was designed and built to overcome those concerns, and make Business Intelligence workable and valuable for non-tech managers, regardless of which data needs to be analysed. Stay tuned for a number of blog posts coming up on these concerns and what we did to overcome these. One of the most exciting things for my co-founder @aakriti_mahajan1 and me is that while building DataSquirrel, we see all the different industries and business processes that the platform is being used in, and we are committed to making everyone's life better in dealing with data: - First we made data structure detection automated, without a lot of questions only techies can answer - Then we made cleaning of data a walk in the park with the "date format"-jungle and standardizing "label variations" as winning cleaning actions - Then we gave auto-analysis to all users with automated visualisations (have you ever built a dashboard in 5 minutes?) - Now we added auto-Insights and Squirby, the only colleague helping you with data related challenges without rolling its eyes. Squirby has become an data buddy for many already, answering questions and creating charts for you - We also enabled access to automate processing any updates to your data, including the data that sits in systems (via API / Make . com) It is no wonder so many non-tech managers and employees are able to find DataSquirrel to be able to make their professional life easier and better. If you have ideas on what we should add to the platform (besides our roadmap), please reach out to us.

A very humanized BI tool finally! Isn’t it intriguing that the tasks complicated by technology at first took us way longer to simplify ? We are also building in the API space so absolutely love this angle!
Vitor Seabra
Congratulations on your launch! Do you offer database connectors that allow direct data transfer to your product? I also read about your security policy, but to be honest, I don't feel entirely assured that you don't keep the data. Do you have any certificates to prove this?
Martijn Moret
@vitor_seabra Hi Vitor, thank you for reaching out. Direct database connectors not yet, but integration via Make . com to feed the data is possible. We are working on information on data security pages on our website, standby for that, please. We are not keeping the original data file after processing, but for analysis purposes only the imported, cleansed data is retained and stored encrypted in an optimized file format. Sensitive data is anonymised by default unless chosen otherwise by the user. When using our AI agents, data sent to an LLM is obfuscated (except for numbers and dates of course), and decoded again by us before showing it in the UI. Are you looking for a specific certificate to be assured of the policy compliance? Until now we have mostly focussed on data security, pent tests etc. If you are looking for a specific certificate we may be able to expedite the certification of that.

DataSquirrel.ai could be a game-changer for non-tech managers who struggle with data analysis. By automating the creation of insights and visualizations, it promises to save time and reduce stress. How user-friendly is its interface for managers with little to no technical background? @aakriti_mahajan1
Aakriti Mahajan
@oleksandra_vasiukhnyk Thanks for the support, Oleksandra! UX is a top priority for DataSquirrel. The platform's UI is designed to deliver value to business managers who may be less tech-savvy, ensuring the overall flow is extremely intuitive and simple. Customization options are literally a one-click effort. Most key steps are automated, with the option for users to choose or customize as needed. Even decisions like which visualizations best support different types of data are handled by DataSquirrel.

Glad to see y’all back here with Datasquirrel 2.0! Started using it when y’all first launched and I have to say it’s been a great unlock for my workflow as PM first, and now a founder looking for a starting point for insight generation. What I particularly loved then and now with 2.0 1. Zero learning curve: most insights or BI tools are intimidating in lieu of the features they offer, always making the trade-off towards complexity vs ease of use. DS eliminates that trade-off as it helps me get started in minutes and easily make my way to more complex manipulations 2. Tuned for insights: Most BI tools are blank canvases and come unopinionated on insight best practices or insights in general. I love how opinionated DS is with its guided flows and best practices always giving me a nudge towards what I should be looking for in my data. 3. Focus and commitment to privacy: with wrappers on code interpreter and AI models proliferating, I’ve always been hesistant pushing data for analysis to these tools. Having known DS from the early days, their commitment to security, access and privacy is unparalleled and I’ve never had any doubts on how secure my data and analyses will be and what they’ll be used for. Congratulation Aakriti and Martijn on the 2.0! Rooting for you always, and can’t wait to see what y’all have in store for us with DS n.0 and beyond!
Aakriti Mahajan
@bavedave Thanks for your kind words, Neil. I appreciate that you've been a part of DataSquirrel since the very beginning, providing active and relevant feedback from the Alpha launch to now as an ad-hoc user! :)
Teo Deleanu
Wow amazing UI. How is the security and privacy concern being handled?
Martijn Moret
@teodeleanu Hi Teo, thanks! [your question is similar to another one, apologies for a copy and paste answer] We are working on information on data security pages on our website, standby for that, please.

I've been trying out data squirrel this morning and as a non technical person I have found it really easy to use! Theres a few features on there like saving tables that are 'coming soon' which would have been really useful for me today - but overall it works very well. Thank you for allowing us to try this for free
Aakriti Mahajan
@charlotte_hare Hi Charlotte! You're very welcome. We've received similar requests from other users to save tables, and our team is currently working on that feature. Would you be open to a call sometime next week to discuss your use case and experience so far?
Charlotte Hare
@aakriti_mahajan1 Hello! Yes of course, you can email me at hr@corcel.io to arrange :)

Adam York
Congratulations on the launch of DataSquirrel 2.0! 🎉 The new features, especially the automated data cleaning and AI buddy, will save me so much time and effort. I'm curious, how does Squirby handle more complex datasets that have nested data structures? Looking forward to diving into these new capabilities! Cheers to making data analysis simpler and more efficient!
Martijn Moret
@adamyork Thank you Adam! We just support tabular data at this moment, and when combining data flatten (so duplicate cell contents, while making sure they are not double counted). However, since the financial industry is one of our key markets, we are working on some features that are dealing with nested lists and data across sources. But I am always interested in the use case you would like to see us solve! Please reach out!
Toshit Garg
Congrats on launching DataSquirrel.ai....
Martijn Moret
@toshit_garg Thank you Toshit!

@toshit_garg Thanks Toshit.
Thet Lin Thu
DataSquirrel’s guided analysis and customizable dashboards are perfect for non-tech managers. Well done!
Martijn Moret
@thetlinthu Thank you Thet!
Zenda
Amazing! I just uploaded a CSV file and tried it. It can automatically generate some charts, which is sufficient for daily analysis. If need more complex charts, still have to do it manually.
Martijn Moret
@zenda1122 Hi Zenda, please share examples of the more complex charts please, we have a full roadmap to allow multiple axis, more chart types, etc, but would love to hear your requirements!
