Really impressed by Decipad — giving people who tell stories with numbers a medium to express their insights in a collaborative, interactive format.
The notebook foundation means that teams can "play with numbers" in a more approachable context than a spreadsheet, which I personally often get lost in.
And I can only imagine how much Decipad will improve once generative AI is more deeply integrated!

I’m Nuno, co-founder and CEO of Decipad, a tool that makes it a breeze to turn data insights into compelling narratives.
In a world of data, communication around numbers is still a clumsy endeavor. The origin and story of a number are rarely shown, shoved into cells and presented as results just to be believed.

Decipad’s so light but effective that a little side project ended up as a Danish preliminary tax estimator. Which *sounds* boring, so I gave it a really dumb name: “The Danish Tax-A-Arron EZ-Estimator 4000” → https://jonas.so/tax
Decipad continues to impress. They have been savvy at balancing the fine line of being a comprehensive horizontal solution that addresses general "data story-telling" needs AND supporting ppl with very specific functional or industry-based use cases.
I'm the founder of a company with a product suite helping bring collaboration to early-stage investing and fundraising. My head is already spinning on ways that Deci might be used by founders + investors to tell their scenario modeling, portfolio growth stories!

I really like this idea. I often create Google spreadsheets to calculate something, but sometimes I need to share it, and it's usually difficult without guidance. It seems to be there and I like it :) Good luck!
@wwwictor That's exactly the goal. Spreadsheets are powerful, but you often lose your audience when you share. Or, forget how you built your own model and it can be hard to adapt to new information :). Thanks for the support!
Hello makers, great product. Love the attention to detail that went into the design. Looks super clean for a beta.
Who is your ideal customer persona? Because I’m building a horizontal product too and I understand how tricky it can be to market inspite of a great product.
@sameer_sanagala Thanks Sameer. Our design team is amazing. We can relate well to the horizontal challenge. We have two ideal personas today: A business decision maker that comes from a technical background (i.e. technical founder, product manager). These are individuals that need to drive decisions forward across many stakeholders, often with imperfect data and that changes fast. They enjoy building in flexible tools with modern interaction patterns. And, a BD/sales persona that needs to present, often complex, information to customers in a personalized way that customers can easily connect with.
Nice! Excel (numbers) and Powerpoint (storytelling) blended into something much easier to use while still more fund to read. Great job!

This is pretty epic! Big fan of anything that brings together data and the context in one place without constant horrible copy and pasting (which I've spent weeks of my life doing when I was an analyst). And the live scenarios stuff is sick. Going to give it a whirl.

Looks like a promising platform for collaborative note-taking and brainstorming, with its intuitive interface and real-time editing features making it ideal for teams and creatives to work together seamlessly.
@hasan_ui_design Thanks Hasan! Great feedback. We found that designers love to build in Decipad, and some of the most successful early adopter were designers. I guess designers love numbers huh?
Congrats on the launch! Decipad has quickly become one of my favourite products. The team workspaces will be a game-changer for us. How do you see it evolving in the next year?

I think Decipad will evolve in three main areas:
* Collaboration — sharing scenarios, comments, annotations. We know our users love interactive with smart documents but they want to save their own "version" of the document, and collaborate further. We also want to add Team and User pages, so people can see what each other build and be quicker to make documents of their own.
* AI — We already have a couple of super useful AI tricks, but we have big plans here. We know people struggle with turning their thoughts into narratives, and even more putting formulas to it. AI struggles to do this, but Decipad's language has great potential to bridge that gap.
* Supporting our users — Decipad is often used as a way to show ROI to people. We want to improve our widgets and ways in which we support this flow.
