Like many of the people reading this, I have approximately 8,207,409 poorly taken, shakey, illegible photos of whiteboards, notebooks and napkins that I've taken in product meetings, board events, offsites, restaurants, bars and other locations. In almost every case, they're functionally useless for a wide variety of reasons.
Deekit takes all of that context-less info and gives users an incredibly easy way to create and collaborate on whiteboards remotely. I first met the team at Techstars London a few years ago, and was a huge fan from the start. I've been a happy user with a variety of companies and teams over the last few years, and I'm really excited to see the new features in the premium version.
This is easily one of the most useful tools I use on a regular basis.
This is huge! Congrats!
I've used Deekit for a long while - It's been great for collaborating for us. Also very impressed with how fast they update things and add new utility.
@leftearpod Woah, thanks so much Jake! π There's quite a list of things coming out next couple of weeks in addition (url sharing being one of these) and we're always constantly working through our backlog to sync it with things most asked for. So if you have any on your mind, do give me a shout! :)
Super Cool! Really love the the templates...especially the business model canvas. Definitely going to use this with my students for the course I'm developing.
@imdrewlittle@goseedpress Thank you! Great templates π
As Kaili already promised, we'll work them through and let you know a.s.a.p. those are added π
I remember the first time I saw a pitch about Deekit by Kaili. It was such an awesome concept. That was almost 2 years ago and since then I've followed their progress closely. Love the product. Love the team. My high recommendations on jumping in.
@markorussiver π massive big thanks Marko for all the love and support. We're truly grateful for having you as our user from the very early days! π
I'm not a user (yet) but I'm curious. One note of feedback: my first click was on Templates because it caught my attention. Seeing the "Colouring, creativity and killing boredom" section at the top made me think this app is more focused on downtime as opposed to collaboration. Scrolling down and seeing the scrum layouts changed that. It may be worth considering reprioritizing that page. Hope that helps and happy hunting.
@mjbrender Hi there Matt and I'm most happy to welcome you to try things out! We're actually starting to re-work templates and I totally agree with your comment there. Will pick this up to change the order of these. There are number of new templates coming too by the way and I'd love to hear your input what's missing (if any). ππ
I've been following Deekit's progress for just under a year now after connecting with the awesome founders. They're consistently making awesome strides in the remote collaboration space, and this release looks like their best yet. Congrats guysβlooking forward to checking it out! π
@jakeapeters Thanks Jake! We're on a mission to make remote work feel less remote and always really happy to hear feedback on how to make it smoother, easier and better for teams. Thanks for being part of our journey! π
Hello hunters! Excited to be on PH for our launch.
The initial idea behind Deekit was to enable remote teams to collaborate using simple drawings and writing, any content. Our vision was to create a collaborative canvas that is easy to use, is entirely collaborative and most of all - works in real-time even when your network isn't as great. Today, we're excited to share our next step on the journey - Deekit Premium.
Deekit Premium is crafted for bigger teams and those who want to level up their collaboration. Premium users have the ability to add any content on your whiteboards, such as pinning links to other sites, adding social media cards, spreadsheets, links to books, add image cards. Even slides and videos, that can directly be played without leaving the app. We also have added advanced shape library for all your needs that are constantly being updated - shapes for design and wireframes, sketching architecture diagrams or just level up your drawings. π€
Here're all features that come in Premium:
- advanced shape library
- import any content from the web
- view videos and slides directly from your whiteboards
- create and organize your boards in folders
- advanced access management tailored for bigger teams
We'd love to see you try the new Premium and let us know your thoughts. For all the new users who grab the premium will receive a one-month free trial, so you can give it a try right away.
Over next couple of weeks, several additions are coming both for our free and Premium users, so stay tuned. To answer few questions ahead: sharing your whiteboards with URL is coming, too!
It's also worth noting that despite the launch of Premium, we are sticking to our promise of keeping Deekit free forever! If you want to learn more about Premium, you can read more on our blog: https://www.deekit.com/blog/deek... and I'm always happy to answer questions.
Thanks again for all the support and really excited to be on Product Hunt. Since we launched initially, we have received tons of amazing feedback from the community and I could not be more thankful to all of you. We're around here all day answering questions in comments and looking forward to hear your thoughts! π
Kaili and team Deekit
@kailikleemeier slightly reminds of zengobi curio, but I guss your tool provides more freedom and is also cloud based and allows team collaboration. Nice
@alinnas Thanks for reaching out Andy! Deekit is indeed about collaboration first - being fully real-time and built for sharing and working together. We believe that teamwork should be simple, engaging and fun. That's also why the canvas size and all opportunities in Deekit are literally as wide as your mind can go. π
Congrats to Deekit team for bringing out another set of useful features. I have used Deekit for a year now and really satisfied with their seamless and modern dashboard. Keep us the good work.
A Superb team, a superb product!
I have followed Deekit for a while and know the team. Been trough Techstars together, shared good moments and this team is going far!
Overall a very nice peace of software that works perfectly with mediocre internet or on the go as well. I think the features most compelling for me are the templates, meeting notes structuring and the sticky notes. I am looking forward to expanded shape library and of course an app for Android.
@henri_treude Thanks Henri! π We're all ears for feedback on the new features and I can already tell you a hint that very first version for Android app is in testing π
