Nice, congrats on the launch guys! Looking forward to giving it a go :)

^^^ this is a powerful concept, I love it!
@dan_robins It's true. Ideas on Deepstash are not highlights of what the author has said, but what the curator understood. Sometimes there is a match, other times the insights are quite surprising even for the author.
@vladimiroane I think it's a really interesting observation - and certainly something I hadn't considered or spared any thought to when using apps such as Blinkist. The curators interpretation is so critical, and presumably their own personal experiences must therefore have an influence on their understanding - what a wonderful project to work on!
@vladimiroane@dan_robins Yup Dan. It's actually a very good twist if you want perspective. Remember that what we write is an extension of who we are. It involves the mindset, the experiences, the vision. If you don't change those, most of what we write defines who we are.
@dan_robins@vladimiroane this approach is brilliant because, in my opinion, "perspective" is the most important word. It defines everything, and the more we understand from others, the more powerful our mind is. Deepstash rocks! š¤
Hi folks,
Iām Cristian, one of the founders of Deepstash. Iām psyched to finally launch what weāve been working on for 4 years. You guys were amazing when we launched Bookstash and we made it to #1 POTD.
We have so much information in front of us, these days.
Between being blasted with ads that sometimes feel like entire lectures (hello Youtube double ads, multiple times) and having all this easy entertainment on all our phones, it's becoming so hard to actually dive into the good stuff.
The knowledge gems are hidden away in books, articles, videos and podcasts all over. Thereās SO MANY good creators out there, dishing out amazing stuff. It's there for the taking. It's just that we have no time to cover it all. Even looking up for new stuff to read or listen sometimes is exhausting, nevermind actually consuming the content.
At Deepstash, we took this to heart. Itās all about the short format we call an āideaā. Itās bits of knowledge you and thousands of other Deepstash users extract from all the cool stuff youāre reading or watching. Itās not even just about books, articles or podcasts; itās conversations you have with people or why not, with yourself. Shower thoughts FTW.
An idea can be an inspiring quote, a practical method like the 7 min workout, an explanation for a concept like the compound effect, a story, or just straight-up facts.
Thereās a huge trend now with summaries. But the main problem is perspective. You have one perspective: the person who extracted those summaries.
āA book read by 1000 people is a thousand different books.ā
For example, many Deepstashers have published their ideas from Atomic Habits. But each take is unique and takes you through each personās point of view or frame of mind. Because everyone extracts different meanings based on their life experience.
You can also listen to ideas. Turn that morning commute, cooking session or whatever break, into a better, more meaningful way to spend your time.
Might wanna give Deepstash a try. It's just like your social media feed, if your social media feed had things that mattered :-)
We have so many amazing teammates that got us here. Some of them are mentioned as makers, but I sincerely want to thank everyone that poured their time and blood into what weāre trying to achieve! Love u guys ā¤ļø
PS: If you're into more than reading, we have a special 60% off discount for this launch, to get into Deepstash Pro: https://dsta.sh/ph-60-OFF.
You intro is killer - Learn something new in just 5 minutes. i am sure it's gonna make people understand what you doing and that's a really amazing thing. I already have it in my phone and i am loving it. Thanks for creating such amazing product. Good luck
Been using this little knowledge app for quite some time. My biggest streak was 167 days. The readings are interesting, although since switching to paid programmes the reel is somehow repetitive. This app, Medium and a few others can actually broaden one's horizons. Keep up the good work.
Awesome app, I've been using it for a couple of months and it made me read more, I'm more curious about a lot more subjects that I didn't find interesting before.
Thanks @cristian_mezei for the awesome app and congratulations to the team for this great launch!
It's really fun to be able to collate your notes from books, articles and other sources all the while keeping the social aspect of gathering knowledge by having people like and particularly comment.
I have used the app for a few years now and I made it a daily habit at times, not because it's addictive, but the positive feedback loops help me keep my knowledge hunger fed daily.
Congrats on the launch, excited to see Deepstash 2.0 on ProductHunt š. Deepstash helped me a lot with learning more about habits and find inspiration. The design is great, everything's intuitive and the text-to-speech is šÆ
It's a great app if you don't want to use social media and want to learn something new or want to keep a great mentality throughout the day.
I always find that I feel better when using Deepstash for 2-5 minutes rather than Instagram or Reddit.
It's also a very good companion to reading a book and noting your main ideas, with the bonus that others will benefit from your notes.
Iāve been using Deepstash since the early days and itās one of my favorite mobile apps out there. Great job guys! š
I feel that whenever I use it, I invest in myself, as opposed to investing/wasting my time in training the social media algorithms out there (that will then pinch me to buy more stuff, which I will feel it was my own idea to being with).
Some ideas from my Christmas wishlist š :
1. I feel that I am not spending enough time in organising my stashes and rereading my stashed ideas. Iād appreciate more support in the product for this. I sometimes believe that making more sense of what I already stashed is more valuable to me than stashing new ideas.
2. An iOS widget with the "idea of the day" would rock. Already using the Streaks one.
3. Iāve been using Kindle to highlight things I want to remember, it would be ideal that I bring my Kindle highlights to Deepstash.
4. Being able to export my previously stashed ideas would raise my trust level that whatever happens with Deepstash my stashes will not go up in smoke.
5. Being able to get a transcript for Youtube and Podcast episodes, so Iād be able to create ideas easier from that transcript.
6. Last but not least, Iād appreciate a cleaner and more aesthetic UI, but this is really just a personal preference.
Congrats š This product provides real value to users. It has the world's best books and articles, along with videos and podcasts summarized and displayed in easy-to-read cards.
Great app! Just an FYI (If you're not already aware) When signing in with Apple the next screen with Hi, "name" pulls in the random letters Apple generate for the hidden email as the name.
I'm using Deepstash for more than a year and it changed the way I learn. It's simple and the bite size dense knowledge is available everywhere. I'm also a curator here and loved to add values.
Deepstash is a wonderful app!
You can use it very well for learning new things.
And on top of that, the development team is amazing, really nice lovely people who are there for you if you need any help.
I've been using the app since the beginning and my experience with it has been more than great!
I'm also part of the Deepstash team and a brand believer. Deepstash has become by external memory and my go to place for inspiration whenever I'm stuck in my creative projects.
Curious to see how the curatosā interpretation might differ from the authorās intent, that should make this app even more interesting. Congrats to the team on the launch!
Deepstash turned out to be a major productivity booster for me. If youāre ever looking for high quality notes on essentially any kind of content - Deepstash will more likely than not have something for you. Plus itās all neatly organized.
