Hello ProductHunt!
We've just released our new guide for makers, writers, students, and others who struggle with procrastination!
It will teach you:
* How to change yourself successfully
* How to increase your motivation forever
* How to stop being distracted (and focus)
* How to increase your self-esteem
* How to stop beating yourself up
... and much more
There are over 70 illustrations and over 300 pages (but don't worry, you don't have to read them all).
The first 6 chapters are for everyone.
They deal with procrastination in general.
The next 12 chapters are optional.
You can read them only if they're relevant to you.
It took us 10 years of experimenting, reading, thinking, and working with others to put this together. We've done the work so that you don't have to.
The audio version will be ready later this week, but the web version and PDF are ready now!
There's a launch discount on our site for the next 24 hours, so don't procrastinate checking it out!
The payment gateway being used set off a fraud alert for my credit card, and choosing to checkout with Google Pay doesn't bring up Google Pay, it just brings up the same payment gateway, GoPay.
Overall, if you struggle with procrastination and don't know how to get started still then there is a lot of good information in here for you. I didn't personally encounter anything profound, but I have been reading and learning about procrastination, habits, and "self-help" for years as well so I guess it's to be expected. Their claim of "Simple, practical, no BS tips" does hold up well.
Really what it mostly comes down to is not overstimulating yourself with easy dopamine rewards from YouTube, social media, video games, etc. and embracing boredom. So, by putting your phone somewhere inaccessible and blocking distracting sites you can at least have more motivation to start working. We crave stimulation so given the choice between doing literally nothing and doing work, we will start to work. Then you eventually build that habit and it becomes automatic.
@m_stole Hey Max, thank you for the honest review.
We're unfortunately running into the fraud issue with Gopay, might need to switch to Stripe soon.
What you're saying about mental overstimulation is 100% true. That's why we also built a browser extension to block distractions (1 year of PRO features is included in the High Performer bundle).
Have a productive day!
