@syswarren Foundation and Bootstrap are similar, and both have their own strengths. The TLDR difference in my opinion, is that bootstrap is great for non-front end devs who want something opinionated that works, whereas Foundation is slightly less opinionated so allows you to build more custom UI's without fighting against the framework as much. Both are good, but for different reasons.

@xcadaverx Good question! Tachyons is a nice minimalist framework, and definitely an alternative some folks are using, though it gives you a lot less out of the box than Foundation. A couple of really sweet advantages of the Foundation Building Blocks are 1. Building Blocks hook right into the standard settings.scss-based theming mechanism for Foundation, so you can drop them in and have they automatically match your site's styles 2. Kits are a great way of finding a set of related building blocks for a particular project type to really kick-start your development.
