Experimentation should not solely be owned by Product. It's something that developers could be doing, either on their own or alongside product's wishes.
So, we wanted to make experimentation as simple as possible for developers! Technically, in its simplest form, releasing a new feature (going from OFF to ON) is an experiment. Compare the impacts before and after, right?
When you think of it that way, theres no reason why a Feature Flagging tool shouldn't give you this option out of the box! Testing out different variations as something is released is just a simple part of the flow then! Instead of a whole complicated setup process requiring hours of testing, the experimentation part is just built right in.
We made sure to have the APIs surrounding metrics and tests be easily accessible, so your team can hook into DevCycle and write your own distribution logic! You can pretty easily set up an automated multi-armed bandit algorithm by reading metrics and modifying your targeting rules all via the API.
