devtree — Jobs, gigs and beautiful developer portfolios

Hey Product Hunters! 👋 Zain here, founder of devtree, first time indiehacker. Last year I got laid off from my job that in turn started my job hunt once again which was time consuming, anxiety ridden to say the least. The experience got bitter after getting ghosted and rejected from the get go without any feedback. Scouring dozens of job boards and applying by adding same information repeatedly because everything was not in one place, linkedin, github, personal site etc. That's why I built devtree, a reverse job board for developers where companies would initiate the search and developers could focus on building their own portfolio. With devtree developers can: 1 - Put all their projects and content links in one place 2 - Request recommendation and build a dedicated testimonial/recommendation page 3 - Integrate github and stackoverflow stats 4 - Add their work and salary preferences to get the best job leads tailored for them 5 - Use an easily shareable unique link with their preferred username with anyone 6 - Get powerful analytics to see how their portfolio and content is performing and a lot more. I have been building devtree in public and have grown it to 200+ developers which has been an amazing experience, getting feedback from everyone has improved devtree a lot. I share everything on linkedin and twitter I am looking for more valuable feedback to help developers make an awesome portfolio that would help them land jobs and gigs while being in full control.

The product is amazing. It let me showcase myself and my projects. Sending recruiters devtree profile instead of CV and portfolio. Its a one-link solution.

The product is amazing, no resumes needed anymore!

Incredible Product! Being a freelancer, I constantly share various links with clients, such as GitHub, LinkedIn, and my projects. However, after setting up a profile on devtree, consolidating all my information there has allowed me to share just one link with clients. They can easily explore my projects, and find additional links, and the cherry on top is the testimonials. It not only helps in attracting customers but also with analytics, I gain insights into profile clicks and impressions.

Looks awesome. Can be a standard for devs. Would love to see some interesting features like: 1) Analyse GitHub activity and generate an AI report of the person's activity, 2) Some personality traits (for culture add), so that everything isn't just techy.

Amazing site as no need of CVs, so one-link solution. ❤️
