Discusso — Makes your voice heard on any webpage.

Hey everyone! This is Eren, founder and CEO of Discusso. I am thrilled to introduce my passion project, Discusso, to all of you wonderful individuals, and I would greatly appreciate your invaluable feedback! Discusso is a Chrome browser extension that enhances your web browsing experience. By simply adding it to your browser, a whole new world opens up: You gain the power to post public comments on any webpage, learn from insights posted by other users, and engage in discussions directly on the very pages you visit. Whether it's news articles, real estate listings, job postings, or any other type of webpage, Discusso transforms that page into a hub for meaningful discussions, enabling visitors to share information, collaborate, and become better informed overall. Discusso gracefully integrates with your web browsing experience, ensuring minimal disruption. It is virtually invisible tucked in to the side throughout your browsing session. Whenever you desire, you can pull out discussion panel, and when you've finished, tuck it back in. Why did we build this? Well, it all started with a personal need: I always liked discussing news and other announcements with other opinionated folks, but I didn’t like scouring the web looking for a venue (e.g. searching Reddit or other discussion forums). One day, I asked myself “Why can’t we simply have these discussions wherever we read the article?”. This led me realize a bigger problem with how browsing works today: The only voice represented on a webpage is the voice of the owner of that page. Thousands of visitors may be reading that page. Each may have a useful piece of information or an opinion that other visitors can benefit from, but visitors are not given any voice. Sometimes you see gross misinformation on a webpage, but have no way to warn others visiting that page! Hence, we decided to build something that will enable visitors’ voice on websites, and specifically build it in a way that doesn’t require any support (or permission) from the websites to run. We are very excited about Discusso, and can’t wait for you to give it a whirl and see what it can do!
