Dishes Nearby knows that when you’re hungry, you don’t care about the restaurant but the dishes themselves. Instead of searching for places to eat, and then browsing through the site to see if anything looks good, Dishes Nearby tells you what restaurants serve the food you want.

I love this. I've spent too much time being in the mood for something like "Chicken Marsala" and then I have to go Italian restaurant by restaurant, swiping through menu's to finally find which one not only has it, but sounds good and at a decent price. I do question the photos a bit... Are these actual photos from the restaurants? Or standard examples of the dish? Are they pulled from Yelp? This will likely be my new go to app for finding places to eat.

@kristofertm When you do a search, the results are photos people have posted on Yelp pages of that restaurant. So yea, you get the picture from the restaurant.

Looks simple and clean app with nice concept. Currently available in which cities/countries? I tried in India it didnt work.

@evivz This is built on top of Yelp's API which has a majority of its concentration in North America. I am exploring other vendors for more international expansion.
