Drag 2.0 — Reinventing Gmail for teams

Drag is rebuilding Gmail for teams. Lots of tasks start and end as an email but teams need to move back and forth between tools. Drag is a Shared Inbox that brings the power of customer support, sales and operations back into where you spend your day - Gmail.

I tried this out to start managing our shared support@ Google email box. It's still a little clunky but it's actually pretty good. I've been holding out on getting some big support ticket management app and this might be just enough to get by. Gonna sign up for their early release of their next version.

I've been using drag every single day for the past four months. This v2 is a game changer in term of collaboration with my team. Congratulations!
BenCole
@clementc Thanks for this feedback, Clement. Great to hear how Drag has been supporting you and your team! How many team members are you collaborating on Drag with?

As someone who does a lot of work via email I love that this tool allows for you to convert email abs messages into tasks. This helps to get things done
Nick Timms
@andrewjb44 thanks Andrew. It's also really useful to be able to manage emails and tasks in a number of different boards rather than just one traditional workspace. How long have you used? @andrewjb44

Took a few days to break the muscle memory of jumping between Slack / Gmail / Trello in Station (Mac App)...smooth sailing ever since! Love Drag!

Pros:

Supercharged Trello in my inbox!

Cons:

No mobile app yet, but not a huge deal

David Ogundeko
I like the combination of the Kanban board visualisation and Deal flow management here. It's perfect for sales team doing a lot of mail sequencing campaigns that would be difficult to project manage in a CRM suite. @nptimms Drag 2.0

Hey everyone, Nick here from DragApp.com. 🚀Today we are pleased to announce the launch of Drag 2.0, reinventing Gmail for teams, on Product Hunt. 🚀 We built Drag 2.0 because, like you, we are one of the millions of companies using G Suite that are forced to go back and forth across multiple tools to run our business, simply because Gmail is not collaborative. Drag is a Shared Inbox in Gmail, for teams to manage emails, tasks, Help Desk, CRM and other workflows from one single place. I would love you to install Drag, in two clicks, and start collaborating with your team. To celebrate our launch on Product Hunt, we are offering 50% off all plans - this is available exclusively today, 16th April 2019. BTW, Team Drag will be here all day to answer questions, provide feedback and answer any burning questions around Drag vs. Help Desk products, CRMs and Task Management tools. Here’s the TLDR; ★ Drag boards Drag instantly turns Gmail into a Kanban layout (we call them boards). It’s a proven way to be more organized. You know how to use Gmail, so no training needed. ★ List and Kanban view You can jump between Kanban and List view when you (or your team) need to. You can still access all Drag features without the Kanban view. ★ Sort emails and tasks Emails come and go, sometimes it’s hard to keep track. Keep your inbox organized by dragging emails to different columns on your board. It’s really as simple as that. ★ Add tasks to inbox Not everything comes as an email, sometimes there’s a separate task. You can add tasks directly to your inbox. ★ Checklists and notes Most emails come with things to get done. Separate these out and add them as actionable tasks. ★ Due dates Is there a deadline – something you need to get done by a date? Keep things on track by adding a due date. ★ Calendar integration Drag syncs. with your Google Calendar. Any email or task with a due date attached, will be automatically added to your Google Calendar so your team knows when stuff needs to be finished. ★ Shared inbox Set up a Shared Mailbox - manage shared emails like sales@ from Gmail. Your team can use this shared Gmail account like it was their own – it can be used for anything from a simple Help Desk and CRM to a Marketing board. It’s the perfect replacement to Google Groups. ★ Internal team chat @mention your team to start a real-time chat with someone to solve a Help Desk ticket faster, or to close a deal with more value. You can chat, internally, on any shared emails or tasks. Thanks everyone. Big thanks to @chrismessina for the Hunt today. Nick

Awesome add-on to Gmail. I became a paid member as soon as 1.0 launched. Looking forward to diving deeper into the new version!

Pros:

Super quick to setup and use. Very intuitive interface. Nick and his team are always available to help!

Cons:

So many emails and planning are done on my phone, I'd love to see a mobile component.

BenCole
Great to hear this feedback, @dontheideaguy! Mobile app is something the team are working on so watch this space :D

Managing my email in its current state and toggling between that and other product management boards is time consuming. This product helps easily visualize my email, collaborate with my team, and organize the day.

Pros:

This type of tool is a must have! It is already extremely useful and the team is constantly improving on the product

Cons:

Doesn't have mobile yet

BenCole
Hey @jinesh_patel Great to hear this! What feature(s) attracted you to Drag? Mobile version will be coming soon :D

Pros:

The app is focused on getting tasks right. kudos to the entire team!

Cons:

if you click on the email and it opens up, you lose the delete capability. you have to close to delete.

Duda Bardavid
Hey @artgolombek1 thanks for the great feedback! The delete functionality inside a card view is coming soon, bear with us! :) Thanks

there asre a lot of "Gmail helpers" out there. Drag is indeed "rebuilding" Gmail for teams yes; but also for local business owners who don't need fancy tools to run their business.
Matheus Machado Vianna

.....

Pros:

The flow of work that this apps gives you Is really the differential. Everyone who works with teams and e-mail flows should try it!

Cons:

The only cons that i can think is that Dragapp don't have mobile version :(

I've been usig Dragapp for one year and i can tell how dynamic is sharing the e-mail using a board instead of delivering to you team inbox. The flow of work that this apps gives you Is really the differential. Everyone who works with teams and e-mail flows should try it!
Seth Hauben

We have saved countless hours of time by organizing our inbox's in a more meaningful way

Pros:

This just makes sense. Easily allowed our team to organize and streamline our efforts in one place.

Cons:

Could have benefitted from slightly more information while getting started

BenCole
Hey @sethhauben, Amazing to hear this has helped out the team! Can I ask, which department are you using Drag with? Sorry to hear that you feel you didn't have enough information when getting started but would love to schedule a 1-1 call to catch up on Drag with you. Please do email support@dragapp.com and we can get a call booked :)

seem great esp. when im already tired of group mail on gg.
Kelly Medford

I haven’t found any other app that works specifically in this way to collaborate specifically with email. I am a small company and use Drag with my assistant who can answer emails within the same account. We can leave comments and feedback for each other with assigned tasks. The various boards are super useful so we can know what needs to be done when. Highly recommended!

Pros:

Perfect for email collaboration saving loads of time with confusing back and forth email communications

Cons:

Doesn’t have mobile app

Duda Bardavid
Hey Kelly, first of all thanks for the amazing feedback. Glad to hear that Drag has been helping you and your assistant to get more things done from Gmail :) Our mobile app will come soon, bear with us while we work on it! Thanks

Turns your email into a Kanban and List board. Very useful for collaboration and managing your emails.

Pros:

Good Security Policy and practices, the design is also great.

Cons:

Perhaps have it as a separate box that you send mail to. Sometimes frustrating switching from view to view.

BenCole
Hey @riley_wright , Thanks for the feedback here and great to hear you love the design! Which view change are you referring to? From Board view to list view?

When we first started using Drag we enjoyed the product and could tell that it needed improvements, since then Drag has had very consistent updates. Drag App has exceeded our expectations and has had a great team behind it developing this app. Great application for collaboration!
