This is by far the best educational app on app store. Beautifully made and with a variety of content. Thank you for making this!
Derek Lo
@saneeshsukumar We really appreciate that! Thanks!
Derek Lo
@parkerrex really appreciate that :)

Cool product...Really waiting for such product. Btw, While learning R language I found a small bug. See the screenshot https://drive.google.com/file/d/...
Derek Lo
@srebalaji Thanks so much for letting us now! Glad you like the app overall.
Will Tennien Murphy
@derek_t_lo @srebalaji Just fixed! Find any more bugs and email contact@py-app.com. We're always improving the content.

@derek_t_lo @tonybrix Hey Derek! I've downloaded an android version from the UK play store. Version 2.0. Love the idea! Just wondering if this is the final android version as on your website it says android isn't live yet!
Derek Lo
@mcgloch @tonybrix @mcgloch Hey this is actually not the the final Android version. Thanks for pointing this out...we've just pulled it from the Google Play Store. That was a beta version of V2. We will be launching our new, spiffy V3 soon! Stay tuned and feel free to put your email on our mailing list at http://py-app.com

Py looks like an awesome way to learn new topics - congrats on the launch, team! πŸ’Œ
Derek Lo
@foolywk Thanks so much for saying that Brandon. Means a lot :)

Looks cool, just downloading. I struggled to find it using App Store search – it might be worth you using some of that free $100 App Store advertising credit to solve that problem.
Derek Lo
@mattaitken Hey Matt yeah we're actually planning on that, thanks :)
Derek Lo
@mattaitken Actually I just tried searching on the App Store and it's the first result now.
Matt Aitken
@derek_t_lo I'm in the UK so bit of a lag with downloads here probably, not boosted the rankings yet :) been doing the Calculus course, really nice!
Derek Lo
@mattaitken Cool!! :) so glad you like it.
Maanas Bukkuri
It's not very easy to search for your product on the App Store. When I searched for Py or Py App, I couldn't find your app. I had to search for Thundr before finding it.
Derek Lo
@msbukkuri Hey Maanas yeah this is an issue we're aware of. Thanks for point it out though. We think that as we gain traction searching for 'Py' will show us as the top result for the query. Something similar probably happened to the app 'Yo' that came out a couple years ago.
Derek Lo
@msbukkuri Hey try searching for Py on the App Store now. It's the first result :)
Aleksandra
@derek_t_lo that's a good point. I was able to find the app by "PY learn" keywords only. could be different in different countries, I guess
Derek Lo
@aleks_muse yup, well thanks for sharing regardless!
Amrith
As a student, I'd say this is bang on πŸ’―πŸ™ŒπŸΌ
Derek Lo
@ambonium Awesome, we're really glad you think so!

Can't wait to try this. Love Daybreak which, I believe, was made by @derek_t_lo ! We corresponded a bit back then. Glad to see you're doing well !
Derek Lo
@andym_dc Hey Andrew thanks a ton! Really appreciate the support :) Hope you're doing well too!!
xOpen
As a developer I can say , well done! Lovely UI , lovely interactions.
Derek Lo
@xopen Thanks so much!

First of all, good luck with your product. I can't say I'm impressed with the current state of the app because it is missing some key elements you advertise on the store page as of today. It doesn't have the 18+ courses at the moment and it's missing one of the key courses, Algebra, which is a prerequisite for 3 other classes including Astrophysics. I expected it to be in its full glory because that was the key selling point for me. Also, you should take a look at the HTML/CSS and U.S. History classes. Those include minimum or no interaction at all. You should definitely spice those up so the app offers something different from what I can already find on the Internet.
Will Tennien Murphy
@sekodev Since you posted, there have been majors changes on that front. You'll now find these courses quite engaging! We're excited to say we expect to release at least three new courses in each category within the coming weeks. We're also learning from usage data how people interact with the courses so you should see major improvements. If there's something you don't see you'd like to, let us know at contact@py-app.com
Kevin Curry
Great job guys! Just downloaded the app and started the Swift course. It was easy to use and understand. Best of luck!!!
Derek Lo
@kevin_curry Thank you so much Kevin! Really means a lot.
Abhilash Jain
Looks beautiful, is there an android version planned.
Derek Lo
@findabhilash Thanks Abhilash! We are well underway with development of an Android version. You can submit your email to our email list so you'll be notified as soon as it's ready!
Samantha Scislowicz
Really beautiful app, can't wait to see new courses!
Derek Lo
@samscislowicz Thanks Samantha! Really appreciate it.
Aravinth Kumar
Hello, Will :) The best thing about your app is that it's not just about learning to program. Small yet resourceful lessons on mathematics, physics, humanities make your app stand out. The best learning app in App store :) Looking forward to more topics :)
Derek Lo
@aravinth_kumaar Hey both Will and I really appreciate your comment. Thanks a ton for trying out Py.
Fredrick Sonal
Amazing app, got caught up reading about algorithms. Looking forward for more content on the app πŸ‘
Derek Lo
@fredricksonal Thank you so much for the comment, Fredrick! That means a lot :)
Shane K
Looks awesome - I'll give it a go for a while πŸ‘
Derek Lo
@_shan3k Thanks Shane! Means a lot.
Mert Celebi
Hey guys, really like the product! Could you tell more about how you guys generate content?
Derek Lo
@mert_celebi Thanks for the comment! So far we've created all of our content in-house and have been very lucky to collaborate with some really smart professors, research scientists and software engineers to make our content very engaging, accurate and overall top-notch. In the future, we plan to have a limited set of extremely high-quality courses.
Aleksandra
@derek_t_lo wow, this is impressive. you handpick all the content, right? How long have you been working on that?
Will Tennien Murphy
@aleks_muse @derek_t_lo Quite a while! We've been fortunate to have help from a lot of talented people. A big thank you to everyone we've collaborated with at MIT, Yale, Google, Facebook, and NASA.
Graham Kaemmer
Gave this a try last week--pretty shocking amount of content on here. I found myself coming back to the Swift tutorial just to familiarize myself with the syntax, and I finished the course in a bunch of five minute chunks. I like the simplicity of it. Short cards, each with its own razor-sharp lesson. Easy to jump in for short burst of learning. Good job, guys!
Derek Lo
@graham_kaemmer So awesome to hear. Thanks a ton Graham! 😁
