Sounds awesome and best of luck...
We should talk - I'd hate for Dropmi to go the direction of TaskRabbit, I was very involved with TR before it became a financially poor use of my time...
[hint: their direction is NOT upward - which has alienated it's TaskRabbits and Customers for the most part].
Hi everyone!
So the idea behind Dropmi is to enable you to use your smartphone to send and receive same-day packages with your friends, customers, and any businesses of your choice. You can even send people to go pick-up stuff from anywhere and bring them back to you.
There is one more thing about Dropmi though: you also get to choose the price! The way we're able to do that is that we match you with commuters already traveling along the same path of your package deliveries, so they usually don't mind taking the package along for a small fee. If the commuters think you've priced too low however, they too can give you a counter offer with what they think is right. Dropmi will always guide you both with what prices are reasonable, and will even give you a real-time acceptance probability meter as you're changing your prices :)
We currently have about 500 commuters covering the entire San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Modesto, Santa Cruz and Gilroy. We're hoping to cover all of California by early 2018. On average, Dropmi typically costs about 30% of the price of our closest competitor, and we're even expecting this to drop as our network gets bigger.
Please let me know what you think of Dropmi :)
